【104】Calligraphy Swordsmanship

The Scholar College is more of a palace than a college. Perhaps it may be more appropriate to change the name to "Scholar College".

The two thousand years of Confucianism holy land has a scale that is better than the imperial palace in Bilodu.

This is the only place in the world where buildings are beyond the rules and are not punished by the court.

Facing us is a huge five-story city wall. The magnificent city gate is combined with silk, and only the round alley-shaped door holes on both sides are open to outsiders.

Entering the doorway, there is the magnificent square in front of the main hall.

There are garrisons on both sides of the gate, and two hundred Confucian masters were stationed, directed by two congenital masters. After asking questions, they went to the inner courtyard under the escort of twelve Confucian masters.

With a similar layout to the secular palace, the Scholar College is still the "front hall and back bedroom". The hall in front is a place for preaching, teaching, and solving doubts, and behind is the residence of the teacher and students.

The three main halls in the front court are majestic and magnificent, located on the central axis of the entire building complex. On the left is the Wen Hall, which contains various books and small classrooms; on the right is the Wu Hall, which almost has the same functions as the Wen Hall.

There are also a large number of gardens and open spaces built between the solemn halls. Countless scholars are reading and discussing here, and the sound of aloud is endless. On the other side, there are many Confucian warriors competing with swords and skills, and the sound of weapons fighting is also heard through the woods.

The civil and military spirit is extremely prosperous.

Ye Qingxuan and others watched along the way, and saw the palaces, pavilions, terraces, corridors and solemn appearances in other sects.

The architectural forms of the inner court are more diverse than those of the outer court, with compact layout. Each group of buildings has its own courtyard, surrounded by courtyard walls and separated by tall palace walls in different sections. If no one leads the way, it is not uncommon to get lost.

He Qingzhu has been hosting Kunwu Academy for many years and has paid great attention to everything about Rulin Academy. From time to time, he nodded and praised, or shook his head and sighed.

Liu Mengyan, who was leading the way, has never said hello since she met Ye Qingxuan. When the Buddha was in Luodu, the conflict with him as the Shuai Tianfan did not exist at all.

However, this "No. 1 talented man in Jiangnan" seemed to be suspected of protesting. All the places he led were gathering places for elite Confucian students. From time to time, someone would come forward to greet him intimately. He also showed great interest in the disciples of Kunwu in Taoist robes such as Ye Qingxuan.

With a sudden burst, there was a lot of applause from the front.

Liu Mengyan led the way, and everyone followed him and saw a beautiful tree and a flower in the middle of a clearing, surrounded by Confucian students holding books and swords.

On the open space, a huge piece of paper hung between the trees on both sides. A figure held a brush, flew up and down, and wrote a poem in a splashing brush. The brushwork was opened and closed, as if it was showing off its fists.

The poem says—

It’s cold in May, and there are no flowers and only cold.

I heard the willows folded in the flute, but I had never seen the spring scenery.

When you fight in the morning, follow the golden drum, sleep in the night and hold the jade saddle.

I wish to put my sword down my waist and kill Loulan.

The whole poem has a total of forty words, and together it is a set of extremely brilliant martial arts.

The more strokes there are in each character, the more changes the moves there are.

Especially the last word of each regulated verse is the place where you use the most force, and it is obviously the most sharp move.

Those with many strokes will not realize the complexity, and those with few strokes will not realize the bad luck.

It shrinks solemnly, like the bend of a ruler, and even the dangerous and powerful, like the cunning rabbit to escape. It is vivid and refreshing, vigorous and vigorous, and handsome, like the wind blowing, like snow dancing, and like a heavy place like a tiger squatting, like an elephant step.

The Confucian students around were dazzled and crazy, and cheers were heard one after another.

Among the people, only Ye Qingxuan and He Qingzhu knew both calligraphy and sword skills. Sun Kun next to him scratched his head and couldn't help but leaned over and asked in a low voice: "Boy Ye, how is that guy jumping up and down like a kung fu? Why are these guys so enthusiastic as if they met a god?"

Ye Qingxuan replied with a smile: "The calligraphy is well written. The martial arts are also good. But I feel a little unnatural if I have to twist the martial arts and calligraphy together."

He Qingzhu laughed and said, "In my opinion, it is just a playful act of people who like calligraphy. When facing the enemy, it is the key to win with concise tricks. If you have to write a word on the opponent's chest, you will be sick."

Everyone couldn't help laughing out loud when they heard it.

Even Sun Kejian shook his head and sighed, saying, "putting the cart before the horse" and "sensationalism".

On the contrary, Sun Ke rolled his eyes and retorted: "No. I think the calligraphy written by this kid is quite like that. He used calligraphy to master martial arts, and it has been found in ancient times. The most famous person today is Yan Jingliu, who is the world's number one calligrapher and also a very powerful man in the martial arts world. It is said that his unique skill [Badafeng] was learned from a calligraphy copybook of ancient calligraphy masters. How can he say that calligraphy cannot be regarded as a martial arts master?"

At this time, Sun Kejian, who was standing beside him, replied with a smile: "This is probably a rumor spread by people in the martial arts world."

"Oh?" Everyone was stunned when they heard this. They all looked at him. Even Liu Mengyan in front of them had his ears erect. Obviously, he heard the conversation of several people and couldn't help but look at listening.

Sun Kejian looked at the students in the venue and said lightly: "My senior brother's set of [Bada Peaks] is indeed a unique skill, but it is not obtained from calligraphy at all. It can only be said that the calligraphy gave him inspiration to other things."

Sun Kejian said while recalling the scene at that time.

"That was when he was 38 years old, and he entered the pass for the ninth time in his life. He practiced only the foundation of my school [Seventy-Two Sages]. Because he likes calligraphy on weekdays and incorporates martial arts moves into his calligraphy, his calligraphy is full of iron hooks and silver marks. Every time he practices characters, it is equivalent to practicing sword techniques... I won't mention these for now. I only talk about the "Eight Peaks Picture". I have also seen it at the beginning. It is the eight "peaks" written by the ancient calligraphy masters. It includes oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, and it is divided into large seal script, bird seal script, running script, regular script, cursive script, and official script... Brother Yan loved it like a treasure and often copied the different brushworks in it."

"That retreat was when he was about to break through. Originally, there was still the last pass in martial arts to break through. When he was upset, he used calligraphy to stabilize his body and mind. Unexpectedly, when he kept writing, the difficult pass was understood by him. In addition to being excited, he called the martial arts he had learned during this retreat as [Bada Peaks]. This is just Senior Brother Yan's love for calligraphy, and it is definitely not any martial arts learned from calligraphy. The "Bafeng Picture" is now hanging in his study, and countless people can see it. But even the smartest person in the world may not be able to practice [Bafafeng]."

I see.

Everyone could not imagine that there was such a cause and effect, and they immediately showed an expression of sudden enlightenment.
