Chapter 13 Wayland in a race against time

Charlie Holloway was originally very dissatisfied with Ethan's actions, but Ethan's next words made him completely ignore his previous unhappiness.

"Mr. Pete Wellan? He's on board too?"

Not only did he have this question, but almost everyone did not expect that Pitt Weilan, who sponsored this scientific expedition, would come together.

Considering the age of Pitt Wellan... this extremely long-distance interstellar journey and the long, life-threatening dormancy, it is very likely that he would end his life in his sleep before he reached his destination.

"Are you sure there is what Mr. Weiland wants here?"

“I’m very sure.”

Faced with David's questions, Ethan gave a very positive answer.

"Now wake him up and he can see the existence he always wants to see at the first time, which can also save you from going back and forth more."

It was still the same as before. Although David wanted to make sure of it himself, he could not choose to refuse when facing Ethan because it was not on Ethan's list of options.

"Mr. Weilan is not in good health. Although he uses a more advanced dormant slumber, he also needs more 'recovery procedures', which are not something I can handle alone."

So, in the cabin where Peter Wellan's dormant warehouse is located, not only the boss behind the scenes, but the entire medical team.

Before awakening Pitt Wellan, David needs to wake up these medical staff first, and then wait until the medical staff can do normal work before awakening Pitt-Future.

"Rich people!"

The original film did not give these detailed introductions and pictures, and at that time the entire inspection team was tortured by parasites and was on the verge of collapse. No one cared about what David was busy with.

So when Pete Wellan appeared, he recovered with the help of a group of medical staff.

But now a boat of people came over, watching the whole process David first awakened the medical staff, then helped the people recover, and then woke Pitt Weilan with the medical staff.

Medical staff have noticed something is wrong. Seeing this group of people watching, people with normal IQ will realize something is wrong.

But they said nothing, and did nothing exciting. Their job was to ensure that Mr. Pitt Wellan woke up smoothly and could recover his ability to move in the shortest time. Other things had nothing to do with them.

So everything went on in an orderly manner, Ethan stood there waiting with his arms in his arms.

He was very patient and annoying, making Hill feel strange.

"I've always been weird."

"What's strange?"

"You should know why this guy named Pitt Wellan wants to find that engineer, right?"

"Know."

Of course Ethan knew that Pete Wellan wanted to find an engineer, but his real purpose was actually very simple: he didn't want to die, even if he had lived longer than most ordinary people, he still didn't want to die. He hoped to create this great race of mankind and give him a longer life.

Although I think Wellan's behavior is a bit naive, Ethan can understand this.

It is not surprising that a person who is on the verge of death but is unwilling to die does anything. Moreover, his action is actually somewhat hopeful. The only thing that is unreliable is why the engineer gives you a longer life? Mr. Weilan may have never thought about it or deliberately ignored this. He just wanted to seize this "only" opportunity.

As the head of the Prometheus, Meredith Vickers looked at Pitt Wellan in front of her, and her emotions were a little complicated.

From the plot, Meredis is Wayland's illegitimate daughter. She seems to want to get something from her biological father. Unfortunately, Pitt Wayland simply ignores her request.

Ethan felt that Meredith wanted a formal inheritance right, and then waited for Mr. Weiland to accept the Weran enterprise after he passed away. Unfortunately, Weiland did not agree, because Weiland didn't want to die at all. Of course, he did not want his "empire" to be handed over to anyone, even if this person was his own daughter.

With his eyes closed, Ethan continued to answer Hill's questions in a low voice.

"I can give him what he wants, but I don't want to give him."

Hill nodded to show that he understood.

"So why should we join this group of people here?"

“Because it’s boring…”

“…”

Hill frowned, what is this answer? I joined the team because I was bored. Wouldn't it be boring?

Seeing that she looked confused, Ethan had to explain a few more words.

"Since we are not going to take things away directly, we have to stay here and wait for the right time... In other words, we always have to stay here, why not find a slightly better environment and a lively place to see?"

This time Hill completely understood that on this desolate planet, the best environment is undoubtedly the Prometheus, and the so-called lively...it is probably what these scientists are going to do next.

But before that, it seems that we have to solve the little trouble of Pete Wellan first?

As the owner of Welland Company, Mr Welland is not an easy person to get along with, especially since he just woke up from his dormant state and saw a large group of people watching him. This feeling is definitely not very good.

"What's going on?"

Mr. Weilan's face was almost darker than Captain Garneck.

"David!"

When Peter Wellan saw that something was wrong and the first person to ask David instead of Meredith, he could tell that some of the character of this person was that he did not trust anyone at all. His trust in David was probably based on the fact that David was a robot.

“Something special happened.”

The medical staff around were busy, but Mr. Weilan's face did not look good. After Meredith asked everyone to leave, in the cabin with the most advanced medical equipment on the ship, except for a group of medical staff, only Meredith and Ethan were left.

"It's you?"

Weilan looked like a superior tone, and even if she couldn't even straighten her waist, she still tried hard to hold her head up and looked at Ethan in front of her in the posture of a "upper".

He really couldn't see anything special about this young man. Why were David and Meredis telling him that the situation was out of control?

Wellan began to look at Meredith frequently. He wondered if the illegitimate girl did something behind her back? Could it be that Meredith secretly arranged on the boat?

What do you want to do? Weilan thought of his Weyland company. Even though he almost squeezed out all the capital flow of Weyland company and devoted all his efforts to build the Prometheus, the entire group was there. As long as the manager was clear-headed and continued to operate it safely, Weilan company could still be restored to a powerful super group.

Welland Enterprise has a very attractive appeal, and it wouldn't be surprising that someone wants to seize and do anything about it.

"I think it's better for you to be a little polite."

Ethan didn't want to have anything to do with this old man, so it would be better for Wellan to ignore his existence and continue to concentrate on finding the engineer he had been thinking about.

But that was impossible. When he stood here, he had become a thorn in Weilan's side.

In this case, the easiest way is to show strong enough force to force the other party to not dare to do anything to you.

Ethan didn't need to do anything complicated. He just waved his hand and let the various objects placed around him float into the air, including a heavy medical device. With Weilan's physical condition, not to mention being hit by this thing, he might kill him if he just wiped it. In fact, he didn't even need to move his hands. He made the move just to let the old man in front of him understand that these things were done by him.

Seeing the magical scene in front of him, Peter Wellan finally began to believe what David said to him quietly: This person is probably not an earthling.

Not an earthling, is it an engineer?

Weilan no longer has the feeling of being arrogant. As an excellent businessman, he is very good at showing his due attitude when necessary.

"No need to guess, I'm not the engineer you're looking for, but you'll see it soon." Ethan knew what the old man wanted to ask, so he took back the spell: "As for whether you want to rush over immediately, or have to rest and recover before going, it depends on your thoughts."

Weilan didn't speak. Ethan's words contained a lot of information. Although he still had many questions to ask, the most important thing at the moment was to find the Creator of the Human beings.

“How long will it take to get me active?”

“It will take at least three more hours.”

David gave the minimum recovery time, three hours can restore all the functions of Weiran's body, but the muscles will still be weak and cannot move at will.

But this is not a problem for Weilan. His body is already very old and he does not have much ability to move. Now he needs to use the mechanical exoskeleton to go out to meet the engineer.

"We will set out in three hours..."

"As a kind guest, I would like to remind you that a small child... a silica storm will come soon. If you set out in three hours, you might run into this storm."

Weilan was silent for a moment and gave the order in a more firm tone.

"Let's go in two hours!"

His remaining life can be calculated in seconds now. He is unwilling to stay on the ship and wait for the storm to pass. He wants to find the Creator before the storm comes. If it goes well... maybe he can get a new life.
