006. Ding Qi's talent

006, Ding Qi's talent

Liu Feng specifically mentioned that the special talent Ding Qi possessed was a secret of him. In a special state, Ding Qi could enter other people's spiritual world, as if he was in the scene.

What does the spiritual world look like? It is both a projection of reality and an inner self. The scenery presented in a specific mental activity state is either fragmented or absurd, like a dream but not a dream.

Ding Qi discovered and discovered his talent in the process of learning hypnosis. When the other party entered a state of deep hypnosis, he was also in a state of extreme concentration, and he could enter the other party's spiritual world. This was not a basis-free illusion. Through analysis, the scenes he saw in an immersive situation directly reflected the other party's mental activities at that time.

According to the words of the instructor Liu Feng, this is an objective phenomenon, from a scientific research perspective. Ding Qi can not only repeat this phenomenon, but also has an objective basis for this phenomenon, although it is invisible or intangible on the surface. Instructor Liu Feng also said that this may not be a special function, at least not the special function that many people think, but may be an extraordinary ability that has been discovered and exercised through potential.

If this is true, then normal people should be able to master the same ability through potential exploration and training in a specific way. As for how much they can master it, it probably depends on talent, and Ding Qi is undoubtedly very talented in this regard. For example, Bolt can run for nine seconds and five or eight in a hundred meters, but it is difficult for others to achieve this result.

Ding Qi discovered and discovered this talent in the process of learning hypnosis. Hypnosis first requires the hypnotic object to enter the subconscious state. If you observe with modern technical means, the activity of the cerebral cortex is suppressed and only specific areas are excited. Speaking of subconsciousness, many people may feel mysterious, but it is not difficult to understand. When people are awake, conscious activities will be accompanied by a large number of subconscious behaviors, such as breathing, walking, and riding a bicycle.

People can consciously take active breathing, such as taking a deep breath when they are nervous, but in most cases, no one will deliberately think and control how they should breathe.

Walking is more typical. People can control their steps and think about how to walk and how to run. But in most cases, people may think about things and see the scenery while walking, without paying attention to how they should walk. Vision, posture, motor nerves, and muscle groups naturally complete this reflex process in a subconscious state.

What is more interesting about walking is riding a bicycle. In the process of learning cycling, you need to keep your attention and active awareness and control at all times. However, when you learn to ride a bicycle and master this skill, unless you encounter an unexpected situation, you don’t have to think about how to ride a bicycle.

Breathing is a natural instinct, and walking ability is an ability that is possessed during the growth and development process, while cycling is relatively complex and the skills obtained through learning. Therefore, the human subconscious mind is like a set program. Some parts of this program are natural, and some parts are written through learning and mastering.

Many people feel that hypnosis is amazing and even hard to believe, but its most basic principle is not complicated. It is to let the hypnotized enter the subconscious state, or temporarily replace the consciousness with the subconscious. As for how to achieve this goal, it is specific hypnosis techniques and methods, which vary from person to person.

Ding Qi mastered the learning process very well and quickly, and made unique discoveries. His mentor Liu Feng also analyzed the causes of this phenomenon from the principle.

Ding Qi is an excellent psychological counselor who is proficient in the technology of "empathy". The so-called empathy is to experience the heart of the person seeking help is like his own heart, but he also maintains a clear judgment and cognition, knowing that it is not his own heart.

Ding Qi was focused enough when he used the technique, and he himself entered a state of sober self-hypnosis, filtered his own emotions, and unconsciously used empathy techniques, thus "feeling" himself entering the other party's spiritual world and observing the other party's spiritual activities as if he was immersive. This is almost the highest state of so-called "empathy".

Of course, an excellent psychologist should master the technique of allowing patients to relax and adjust their physical and mental state through induction, suggestion, free association and other means. Hypnosis is just one of them. For psychological counselors like Ding Qi, hypnosis rarely uses hypnosis in daily work, which has many reasons.

Hypnosis has been rendered by stage performances and various film and television works, and the impression left by ordinary people is too exaggerated and separated. The hypnoticist is simply a charlatan, which will inevitably cause misunderstandings among the seekers. In the reality of the country, this may also lead to various misunderstandings and disputes, which is not good for the psychological counselor himself, let alone improper use of the technique.

Moreover, hypnosis is not the most effective and convenient psychological counseling method in actual work, and there are many other better methods to be used.

Not to mention complex professional knowledge, it is just a time control, and hypnosis is difficult to accept in psychological counseling. Hypnologists need enough patience to make people enter a hypnotic state and perform careful and cautious subconscious adjustments, which cannot guarantee success in a short period of time, but psychological counselors have to complete the meeting within the agreed time.

Therefore, Ding Qi has never used this talent in his work process. In his mental health, at least in psychological counseling, no counselor uses hypnosis technology, and even the leaders of the hospital have specially greeted everyone.

The psychology major in Jinghu University has never been set up as a hypnosis course, and neither undergraduate nor graduate students have made any requirements for this. Ding Qi learned hypnosis to understand and master the skills in this psychological professional field, and was taught by his mentor Liu Feng in private. Liu Feng only taught a few students in a small range. This is not a teaching task, teaching is a friendship, and not teaching is a duty.

Many people understand hypnosis through film and television works, and there may be many misunderstandings. In fact, people's subconscious mind has the instinct of self-protection and will not be manipulated by hypnotists in a hypnotic state to do things they are unwilling to do. As mentor Liu Feng said, it is impossible to control a person to rob the bank in a hypnotic state, unless the person himself happened to be planning to rob the bank.

However, improper hypnosis practices can indeed lead to adverse consequences, so one of the professional ethics that hypnotists must abide by is that the suggestive induction given must be positive and healthy. "Unless this person is planning to rob the bank" is an example, and hypnotists must never give such hints.

Regarding the "adverse consequences" caused by hypnosis, Liu Feng also talked about a past that made Ding Qi laugh and cry, which was Liu Feng's personal experience. Once, Liu Feng went to an old friend's house as a guest. His friend's child was a programmer. I heard that Liu Feng was the legendary "hypnosis master". He insisted on pestering Liu Feng to hypnotize himself so that he could experience the so-called hypnosis technique.

Liu Feng was so entangled that he couldn't help it. The atmosphere was also very good at that time, so he made a live show. Within a few minutes, he let the young man enter a deep hypnosis state, and then asked him to open his eyes and walk to the dining table to have tea with a beautiful woman.

In fact, there was no tea or beauty there, but the young man walked over like this, pouring tea, ceremonial tea, drinking tea, and talking and laughing at the empty seat next to him. After a while, Liu Feng asked the young man to leave his hypnosis and return to his true soberness. But the young man asked Liu Feng, who was the beauty just now?

Of course, that beauty did not exist. She was induced in a hypnotic state. The young man imagined it himself, but he seemed to have fascinated her. Later, the young man was in trouble finding a partner. No matter what girl his relatives and friends introduced him to, he could not see it. Asked what kind of girl he wanted to find, the answer was very simple. It was the beauty who was hypnotized to accompany him to drink tea.

Is the young man sick? His mental state and cognitive ability are normal. He is very clear that it is just a hypnotic experience. The beauty he sees does not actually exist, which eliminates mental abnormalities. Moreover, he can understand his mentality and does not feel inner conflicts and pain. Everything is normal in study, work, and life, and there are no psychological problems.

In fact, Liu Feng knew very well that the problem was not caused by hypnosis. This young man had a standard for choosing a spouse, and he insisted on the standards but was unwilling to take it.

But on the other hand, Liu Feng's hypnosis made the young man's mate selection criteria a clear and concrete beauty. Is it the cause of this situation? No one can explain it clearly! Ordinary people who do not understand the profession may therefore think that "Master Liu Feng" is amazing. But from a professional perspective, this is not a glorious experience for Liu Feng.

There is a follow-up to this matter. An old friend later asked Liu Feng to "delete" his son's memory? In a deep hypnosis state, it is indeed possible that a specific memory may be temporarily forgotten, but it is only possible, and it requires the other party's active cooperation.

Liu Feng knew the real problem. It might not work if he just deleted that memory, but due to the face of his old friend and out of compensation, he still used the technique again. But this time, Liu Feng did not succeed. The hypnosis was successful, but he could not "delete" that specific memory. It seemed that the young man himself was unwilling to do so.

Although my old friend did not publicly blame Liu Feng later, as a great expert of such a status, I don’t think he felt that he felt too good, so he rarely mentioned this experience. He only talked about it once when teaching Ding Qi’s hypnosis technique, so he reminded Ding Qi to be cautious when using sleeping technology and not to use it in psychological counseling.

As for the special talents you find during the learning of hypnosis, don’t show them easily.

When he returned to the dormitory, Ding Qi's work was not over yet, and the evening was the study time he insisted on every day. Jinghu University had just built several new teaching staff dormitory buildings three years ago, and Ding Qi was also lucky enough to be assigned to a dormitory. It was about 20 square meters of single room, without a kitchen, but with an independent bathroom, and he was already very satisfied.

You can go to the teaching staff cafeteria when you eat. If you want to cook, there is a public kitchen in the dormitory building. There is a bed of one meter and two meters wide, a desk and a wardrobe in the dormitory, which are all uniformly matched by the school. This is also the welfare left by the former school leadership team to single faculty and staff.

There is no refrigerator in the dormitory, so he should have bought one, but he hardly cooked and he forgot. The furniture he added himself was a large bookcase, which was already full, and even a lot of books and materials were piled up in the corner of the house.

Sitting at the desk late at night is usually the quietest and most free time for Ding Qi every day. There is also a stack of textbooks on the table, which is pushed aside first, and opened the file given to him by the instructor. When he just sat down, he was in a happy mood, excited and looking forward to a bright future, but as he opened the materials, his expression gradually became solemn, his brows frowned and he fell into thought.

This is just a brief case report specially asked by the supervisor Liu Feng through his relationship. It is not a detailed file. He does not even have a photo of the suspect, but it makes Ding Qi, who is sitting alone, feel a chill. He even feels that the hazy outline of the suspect he has seen, with some physiological characteristics inferred purely based on experience.

The suspect is named Tian Qi, who is only twenty years old this year.

The earliest information introduced by the materials was that when Tian Qi was thirteen years old, he had a conflict with his classmates, and he was injured. He was criticized by the teacher and called his parents to the school to negotiate and resolve the matter. But a week later, he actually ambushed outside the school. The teacher was the only way to get off work every day, stabbed the teacher, and almost killed him.

Because of his age, Tian Qi did not bear criminal responsibility. The parents used a lot of social relations and paid a lot of money to settle the matter. Of course, Tian Qi also transferred to school.

When Tian Qi was sixteen years old, he was rejected for pursuing a girl. Later, he saw the girl "dating" with another boy and walked into a restaurant very intimately. He rushed into the hotel and beat the two of them seriously. The girl also left her disabled and had a broken face. Later, she found that it was a misunderstanding, the boy was just a relative of the girl.

This time Tian Qi was not subject to criminal punishment because he was identified as having mental abnormalities and incapacity during the case handling. The diagnosis result introduced by the materials was a manic episode of schizophrenia (puberty type), and was accompanied by an appraisal agency, appraiser and appraisal document.

Tian Qi's father Tian Xianglong spent a lot of money to conduct civil compensation and sent the injured girl abroad for plastic surgery. Tian Qi was also sent to a mental hospital for compulsory treatment and was discharged from the hospital three years later. He continued to be supervised by the guardian and has restored the most basic daily life ability.

The recent vicious case occurred one year after Tian Qi was discharged from the hospital, and was located in Jiangbei District. The main urban area of Jinghu City is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, but since the Yangtze River Bridge was built more than ten years ago, Jiangbei District has become the fastest-growing new district.

The murder happened in full view of everyone. The victim Zhang was shopping in the mall. Tian Qi walked around him from the back and stamped his calves. The victim only cursed, "Are you crazy?" and then was knocked down by Tian Qi with a weapon.

The weapon was a baseball bat that Tian Qi picked up from the nearby sports goods counter. There was a salesperson chasing and shouting loudly behind him. Seeing Tian Qi committing the murder, the salesperson was so scared that he did not dare to approach.

Tian Qi not only beat the victim, but after the victim fell down, he repeatedly knocked his head and body with the bat. His methods were extremely cruel, and the final scene was also terrible. Even the security guards who arrived in the mall were frightened and felt weak.

According to the surveillance video of the mall, the attack lasted about ninety seconds, and the victim should have died on the spot. Then Tian Qi threw away the bat and repeatedly stamped the victim's body with his feet, as if he was about to step on the ground. He stomped for about fifty seconds, almost stomped his whole body, and then turned around and left as if nothing had happened, muttering something in his mouth, and was subdued and arrested by the police who rushed to the scene.

The case happened very short, and the police actually came very quickly. There was a security duty room set up by the police station in this mall. The police knocked down and subdued Tian Qi with an electric shock stick. At that time, Tian Qi had no weapon in his hand and was in a state of mental confusion.

During the interrogation process, the police officer in charge of the case discovered Tian Qi's mental abnormality. When answering why he wanted to kill someone, Tian Qi claimed: "I saw that guy was uncomfortable all over. He shouldn't have emerged from this world. I have to beat him down and step on it."

This is not a murder, it is like playing a gopher game in a game hall. After investigation, Tian Qi had nothing to do with the victim Zhang, and he didn't know him at all.

Seeing this, Ding Qi took a few deep breaths to calm down temporarily. From a professional perspective, he must maintain a calm and objective attitude. The material introduced three cases of the suspect from childhood to adulthood. I don’t know how many cases there are not introduced. Ding Qi’s first judgment was an antisocial personality disorder.

The characteristics of antisocial personality usually refer to behavior that does not conform to social norms and ignores laws and regulations, is not only extremely selfish and ruthless. However, in judicial practice, it is usually not a reason to exempt criminal responsibility.

The statement that "mental ill patients are not criminally responsible" is actually a misunderstanding. Our country's Criminal Law stipulates that if the harmful consequences caused by mental patients are confirmed by legal procedures, they are not criminally responsible.

It also means that the appraiser not only needs to identify whether the suspect is "ill", but more importantly, whether he can identify or control his behavior when he commits harmful behavior. The focus is on "the status at the time of the incident".

Antisocial personality may be a mental disorder from a medical perspective, but the parties usually have the ability to identify or control behaviors. They know what they are doing and cannot be exempted from liability in the judicial process. At least in the case of stabbing the teacher, Tian Qi has clear goals and clear internal relationships of thinking logic, and has a high degree of consistency in emotions, motivations and behaviors.

Tian Qi was able to escape criminal punishment that year because he was less than fourteen years old. However, in the second case that happened when he was sixteen, he conducted a mental examination and concluded. In addition, he was not yet eighteen years old, so he still escaped criminal punishment and only received compulsory treatment.

Later, he was discharged from the hospital smoothly and moved like a normal person. It seemed that his parents had spent a lot of money, including treatment and diagnosis, as well as civil liability compensation for the victim. As for the case that just happened, it was initially inferred that it might be a manic attack in schizophrenia or a delusional disorder.

What's going on? You need to obtain a detailed file for analysis and conduct actual interviews on the suspect before you can draw a conclusion after testing. It should be noted that this is different from the principle of "presumption of innocence" followed by criminal trials. The judicial appraisal of mental illness follows the "presumption of innocence". First of all, the suspect is not regarded as a mental patient.

This simple material was used by Liu Feng to let Ding Qi get familiar with the situation in advance. Of course, the instructor would not give him a case that was too difficult, and he was just one of the three appraisal experts to serve as a foil, which was just to allow him to accumulate qualifications.

The suspect has a past mental illness, and his behavior at the time of the incident is very typical to conform to the psychotic characteristics. This identification is not complicated from a professional perspective. However, after Ding Qi combined the file, he sighed deeply and felt a heavy mood.

Theoretically speaking, the appraiser's responsibilities are to identify the suspect's ability to act at the time of the incident, as well as the ability to be tried and served in prison after the incident. They are not judges, but only provide professional appraisal materials to the court to explain the suspect's mental state at a specific period of time. They should not have personal feelings or even certain moral responsibilities. This is a professional requirement.

Judicial appraisal is only one of the evidence in court. As for how to use these evidence, how to consider social impact, reduce social harm, and make the most appropriate judgment, that is the judge's responsibility. But most of the time, the judge will directly use the appraisal results to make the judgment, so that the appraisers feel that they are not only appraisal, but also making judgments.

Although professionalism requires that the appraiser cannot have personal emotions, Ding Qi is also a living person, and he also has his own worldview and personal emotions. In his opinion, when courts quote appraisal conclusions, they mainly emphasize responsibility ability. In judgment and execution practice, they do not pay much attention to another more important appraisal, which is also the result of social harm appraisal.
