Becoming a Buddha depends on enlightenment!
Sun Wukong became enlightened, so he became the Buddha of Fighting and Battle.
This is not because Sun Wukong has been enthroned by the Buddha's position, which has been hard work and great achievements along the way. Enthroning cannot make people become Buddhas.
Among the five masters and apprentices, only Tang Seng and Sun Wukong became Buddhas.
None of the other three people became Buddhas. It was not because they did not make enough contributions, but because they did not understand the true meaning of becoming Buddhas.

The benefits of Mahayana Buddhism are not all boasted by the Buddha Tathagata, but they do have their benefits. Otherwise, how could the Heavenly Court allow Mahayana Buddhism to be introduced into the East Land?
