Chapter 293 The Economist Who Was Stuck

Although it must be late, Chen Qiaoshan decided to rush back. Fortunately, the studio was not far from Peking University, so it would not take long.

Economic science is a CSSCI journal. Although it is still slightly inferior to the top core journals such as the world management and economic research, its influence cannot be underestimated.

Chen Qiaoshan rode the bicycle and quickly entered the south gate of Beijing University. It was fine outside, but entered the campus. Because it was a weekend, there were suddenly more pedestrians on the road, so he had to slow down slightly.

"Chen Qiaoshan."

Hearing someone calling him, Chen Qiaoshan had to stop. After looking around, he saw Li Xiaolin standing not far away.

Chen Qiaoshan asked, "Is there anything wrong?"

Li Xiaolin came over, "What are you doing? Riding so fast?"

"I'm in a hurry to go to the School of Economics. Are you okay? If you can't, will I leave?" Chen Qiaoshan pretended to be ready to leave.

"What's the rush?" Li Xiaolin said: "What are you doing when you go to the School of Economics this weekend?"

Chen Qiaoshan had no choice but to stare at Li Xiaolin and asked, "If you have something to do, say it, I'm really in a hurry."

"Are you going back on May Day?" Li Xiaolin saw his impatientness and was not going around in circles.

"What's wrong if you don't go back?"

Li Xiaolin smiled and said, "It's okay, the class organizes activities, and I can't find you normally."

Chen Qiaoshan waved his hands repeatedly: "Don't count me, I'm busy." After that, he didn't stop anymore and left on his bicycle.

Li Xiaolin stared at the direction he left, thought for a while, picked up her cell phone and dialed it out, and hung up after a few simple words. As for the content of the phone, Chen Qiaoshan naturally had no way to know.

When he arrived at the School of Economics, it was only 9:10 that Chen Qiaoshan found the editorial department on the third floor. With the guidance of the staff, he finally found Professor Liu Wei's office.

"Professor Liu." When he entered the office, Chen Qiaoshan greeted him first.

Professor Liu raised his wrist and looked at Chen Qiaoshan again, but said nothing else. He pointed to a stack of manuscripts on his desk and said, "There are a few preliminary papers that have been selected. You can take them to take a look first, and we will talk about them later."

Chen Qiaoshan didn't say anything, so he stepped forward and picked up the printed manuscripts, sat aside and read them.

Just a few minutes after I sat down, the office door was knocked.

"Please come in." Liu Wei was busy with his work and said without raising his head.

Chen Qiaoshan thought secretly that Professor Liu is undoubtedly still focusing on academics now, otherwise he would not be the editor-in-chief of core journals. This is a very time-consuming and laborious work. He was very curious about what caused a scholar to transform into a politician?

Just as he was thinking, a man in his forties entered the office, "Old Liu, are you busy?"

"Don't you see it?" Professor Liu didn't get up, and casually spread out the manuscript in his hand.

The two should be very familiar with each other, and the person who came was not polite, so he walked directly to the opposite side of Chen Qiaoshan. He stood up quickly, nodded with a smile, and greeted him briefly.

"You are Qiaoshan, Peking University, right?" The visitor was strange, and he didn't sit down, but instead stared at Chen Qiaoshan and asked.

Professor Liu said, "This is Professor Zhang Bo from the School of Scholars and the deputy editor-in-chief of Economics and Science."

Chen Qiaoshan said again: "Professor Zhang, hello, I am Chen Qiaoshan."

"I know you, the famous Qiaoshan, Peking University, and the School of Economics, have spread all over the school." Professor Zhang stared at him with a curious look, "Are you really a glorious freshman?"

Chen Qiaoshan was a little surprised. This man didn't look for the right owner when he entered the door. He was all focused on staring at what he was doing. He nodded, "Yes."

Zhang Bo looked at Chen Qiaoshan with strange eyes, "Tell me, when did you start studying economics?"

Chen Qiaoshan was confused. What's going on? Could it be that he met a person like Professor Yan again? He responded carefully: "I haven't studied much. I'm just interested in the economy and read some related articles in my daily life."

"What are you looking at?" Professor Zhang was not giving up and had the intention to ask the questions to the end.

Chen Qiaoshan secretly complained that this person was curious enough, "it was just some ordinary economics works."

“What are the specific ones?”

Chen Qiaoshan has completely stopped the food. He has never read any economics books. If he really reports "The Wealth of Nations" and "General Theory", someone will believe it. A top student in the college entrance examination will usually hold the big news of economics, which is impossible to think about.

Professor Liu suddenly smiled and interrupted, "Xiao Chen, Professor Zhang wants to ask you how to accurately predict the trends in the stock market."

Chen Qiaoshan suddenly stopped, and he was following everywhere. He couldn't help but look at Professor Zhang sitting opposite him, but saw that the other party showed embarrassment, which was obviously what Professor Liu said about.

"Let's just talk casually. Don't take Lao Liu's words seriously." Professor Zhang said embarrassedly.

"What, can I say wrong?" Professor Liu put down the manuscript in his hand and walked over from behind the desk.

Professor Zhang shook his head helplessly and sighed: "I'm just a little curious, it's not as utilitarian as you said."

"Whose stocks are trapped? I'm talking about stop loss every day."

Professor Zhang smiled bitterly, "Okay, don't reveal my old truth. I have only such a hobby. I'm cheated by the stock market for economic development. I feel embarrassed to say it out."

Liu Wei said, "You are a PhD in Science and Technology, and you become a monk halfway through the road, and you are not considered a serious economic person."

Zhang Bo was unwilling, "Why, I still look down on others. Lao Liu, there are many mathematicians who have won the Nobel Prize in Economics. Don't look down on others. After all, I have drunk foreign ink, which is much better than some people."

Chen Qiaoshan was stunned by the two of them singing together. What was the song? It was really rare to see the two professors quarreling here.

"Okay, don't show off your foreign ink. Haven't you just been to Moscow for a few years? You're not afraid of jokes when you tell me it."

Liu Wei obviously didn't care about the other party's jokes. He re-introduced to Chen Qiaoshan: "Professor Zhang is from mathematics and is best at actuarial science. He is very good at Peking University. If you want to work in finance in the future, it is best to ask him more questions."

Chen Qiaoshan suddenly felt awe-inspiring. Unexpectedly, this professor who was not very reliable in speaking was an economist who changed his career from the field of mathematics. Such people are not uncommon in the economics community, and most of them have extraordinary economic attainments.

Actuarialism is still a relatively cold major nowadays, but in the West, actuaries are a very popular profession and cannot be called actuarialists by actuarial practitioners. There are quite a difference here.

Of course, in the future, those actuaries who are all over the streets can't be said to be, and 90% of them can only be called actuarial practitioners.
