13. Varian. The Promised Day (middle)(2/2)

Auriden didn't care about this.

This legendary vampire held two things in his hands and walked straight into the manor house. In the living room decorated with swords, axes, swords and shields and full of old-school military style, three gray-haired old men were drinking wine.

It's like a gathering of old friends.

They talked to each other and chatted, not paying attention to the vampires who rushed into the room, nor did they care about Auriden standing in front of them. The legendary vampire was also very patient, and he did not immediately interrupt the chat of these old soldiers.

It wasn't until several minutes later that the drunken Duke Grayson raised his head. He looked into the vampire's red eyes and scolded like a rude soldier:

"Why haven't you done anything yet? Aren't you here to get rid of us? Look at the clothes you are wearing. Damn it, are even vampires such sissies now?"

"Hahahaha, well said!"

"Grayson, you always tell jokes!"

The other two old drunkards seemed to have heard the funniest joke. They slapped the table and laughed.

They were provoking these vampires so that they could kill them. Obviously, these three old men no longer wanted to live.

"Ahem"

O'riden pouted and asked the other vampires to leave. He sat on the floor and joined the old soldiers' drinking party. The legendary vampire placed the two things in his hands on the old men's table.

A loaded gun.

and three letters of appointment bearing Varian's personal seal.

"Duke Grayson Wishak, Lord Boris Maggie, and Earl Remington Ridgeville."

Oridon put a berry on the table into his mouth. Without looking at the three old men in front of him, he said:

"His Majesty Varian asked me to say a few words to you."

"If you want to die as a great noble, then this gun is prepared for you."

"But if you want to dedicate your strength to the new empire just like you did when you guarded the people in the past, then sign your name on this appointment letter as a member of the "Imperial Parliament"."

"Of course, if I were you, I wouldn't hesitate. After all, even an old life is very precious."

Duke Grayson picked up the gun, played with it for a moment, and then threw the gun aside with disdain:

"Exactly, third-rate stuff that imitates the Federation."

Then he picked up the engagement letter again, glanced at it a few times, and cursed angrily:

"Congress? Senate? Bah! Imitate the Federation! Seriously, doesn't Varian have some ideas of his own? Who am I going to serve? For the Empire, or for a poor imitation of the Federation?"

"Bang"

A gold pen with a gem-encrusted skull was slapped on the table. The legendary vampire Auriden said impatiently:

"Stop talking nonsense and sign! Old men!"

"I still have more than 30 old men and women to visit! My time is very valuable!"
