Chapter 1070 The building collapsed

.: In the second half of the night, more detailed information was transmitted back through the six channels of Fan's investment collection, which shocked everyone.

At 8:40 am on September 11, 2001, ET, four domestic civil aviation flights were hijacked almost at the same time, two of which hit the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York. One attacked the Pentagon, where the US Department of Defense was located in Washington.

The fourth hijacked plane crashed in Pennsylvania. According to the investigation, passengers on board tried to retake control of the plane from the hijackers before the crash. The target of the hijackers was unknown, but it is believed that the hijackers hit the target of Capitol Hill or the White House (the results of the subsequent interrogation of terrorists involved in the planning of the attack showed that the fourth target of the terrorist attack was the Capitol, and before that, the US officials had suspected that the target was the White House).

Two 110-story skyscrapers in the World Trade Center in New York collapsed one after another after being attacked. In addition, five buildings near the World Trade Center were also damaged by earthquakes; the Pentagon was partially damaged and some structures collapsed; the attack caused dust and smoke to spread over Manhattan Island.

Since it was at the peak of work, it is still unknown how many people were trapped and how many people died in the World Trade Center. Phoenix TV and other domestic media responded strongly to the matter. Everyone is speculating whether the number of petitioners this time will really exceed the 50,000 people rumored by the American media.

"It is unlikely that there will be 50,000 people. At most, it will be just a few thousand people." Fan Wubing said to Jobs, who was a little uneasy.

In fact, it was just a speculation by the media in an emergency. Everyone has done statistics on the number of people in the World Trade Center and estimated how many people should be working in the building at this time. But one thing has been overlooked, that is, the number of people directly injured and killed in the World Trade Center building is much smaller. After all, from the attack to the people's reaction, to the arrival of the emergency rescue team. Then to the main part of the building being damaged due to the impact of the fire, this time lasted for several hours.

Soon, the detailed list of events was passed on from all aspects after dawn, and the entire TV station was discussing this matter, from media anchors to emergencies of military experts, all gathered together to analyze the matter.

At 8:19 am on September 11, a waiter on American Airlines' 11 flight called and told American Airlines that there was no response from the cockpit, and that a passenger in Business Class was stabbed to death and that we might have been hijacked.

At 8:24, the direction of American Airlines Flight One Flight was turned to New York. Thirteen minutes later, the Federal Aviation Administration Boston Aviation Center notified Northeast Air Defense Command, the North American Air Defense Command, Yang, that American Airlines' eleventh flights were hijacked. This was the time that the US side had contacted about the hijacking information. The Boston Aviation Center asked the US side to assist in intercepting American Airlines' eleventh flights. Immediately afterwards, United Airlines' 93rd flights and 175th flights were hijacked one after another.

At 8:46 a.m., two U.S. Air Force Occupy Eagle fighters emerged from Massachusetts Air Force Base to intercept American Airlines' eleven flights, but the Air Force pilots did not know the correct location of American Airlines' eleven flights, and Northeast Air Defense Command ships managed to determine the location of the aircraft in the next few minutes.

At 8:46:40 a.m., American Airlines flight 11. A Boeing-built aircraft, loaded with fuel, crashed into the north building of the World Trade Center at about 490 miles per hour, and the impact was between 94 and 98 floors north of the building. The building immediately caught fire, and the 69 tons of aviation fuel on the plane poured into the building, making the fire worse and the entire building structure was destroyed.

The people who were hit below the floor began to evacuate. However, all three stairs were damaged, so the people who were hit above the floor could not escape. The staff of the World Trade Center South Building soon informed all the personnel in the South Building that the South Building was still safe and could operate normally.

Some people ignored the broadcast announcement and still evacuated, some continued to work, and some gathered in the sky lobby located in the South Building.

Three minutes later, CNN began broadcasting the situation of the World Trade Center live, the world's first news media reported on the attack.

Fourteen minutes later, American Airlines' Knife flight was hijacked.

At 9:02:54 a.m., United Airlines flight 175, a Boeing-Roy aircraft, which was loaded with fuel, crashed into the 78th to 84th floors of the South Building of the World Trade Center at about 590 miles an hour, causing a huge explosion.

The plane hit the south building at a left angle of nearly forty-five degrees, indicating that the hijacker almost missed the target. Part of the wreckage of the plane passed out from the east and north sides of the building and fell six blocks away.

But at this time there is a stairwell intact, so a few people above the impact point can still survive.

Some people heard multiple explosions at the scene, some people thought it was two unrelated accidents, while more people immediately thought it was a terrorist attack.

Between nine and ten:30, at least twenty people trapped on the top floor of the building by fire and smoke jumped from high altitude. There is evidence that a large area in the middle of the north building collapsed immediately after the attack. Perhaps this made these people think that the building would collapse soon and jump off the building to survive.

A firefighter located on the ground floor was killed by a jumper who fell from the sky.

Air rescue activities cannot be carried out due to the strong smoke and upstream flow, and New York City itself lacks helicopters dedicated to air rescue.

At nine o'clock, the Federal Aviation Administration's Boston Air Traffic Control Center issued an order to suspend the takeoff of all aircraft in its jurisdiction. Immediately afterwards, the Federal Aviation Administration banned any aircraft from entering New York and nearby Boston, Cleveland and Washington airspace.

Two minutes later, the Federal Aviation Administration banned all planes from flying to or through New York airspace in the United States. All landings and bridges in New York City were closed.

At 9:24, US President George, who was visiting an elementary school classroom in Florida, received news that a second plane hit the World Trade Center. He immediately made a brief speech in another classroom of the school after the class said that the United States was attacked by terrorists and the US government will conduct a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the plane crash. In addition, he said the incident was a national tragedy.

At the same time, the Tongdong Chi Air Defense Department, American Airlines' seventy-seven flights had been hijacked, and they discussed the company's seventy-seven flights and United Airlines' tenty-lan flights, Khan Xiao. Subsequently, the Federal Aviation Administration announced that it would ban all civil flights nationwide from taking off.

At 9:37 a.m., on 77th flights of American Airlines, a Boeing called a plane and crashed into the west wing of the Pentagon and caught a fire. The attacked part had just been renovated and had not been fully put into use, but it still killed more than 100 people in the west wing of the Pentagon.

At 9:45 a.m., the United States closed its airspace and prohibited any civil flight from taking off. All flights on the flight must immediately land at the nearest airport. All flights to the United States will be immediately replaced by Canada.

Afterwards, Yang announced a ban on flights, and only military and rescue aircraft were allowed to take off. This was the fourth time in US history that all commercial flights in the United States were stopped from operation and the only unplanned emergency measure. Before that, all aircraft were grounded due to defense needs.

The White House and Capitol Hill were closed, and surrounding areas were martial law, and President Bush left Florida.

At 9:59:04 in the morning, the South Building of the World Trade Center collapsed. Through live broadcasts by the TV station, hundreds of millions of viewers around the world witnessed the collapse of the building.

At 10:03, United Airlines' 93rd flight crashed southeast of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Police investigation reports showed that no one survived. Later further investigations showed that passengers had contacted the ground through mobile phones before the plane crash and had learned that the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked.

After learning that it was about to become a suicide bomb, at least three passengers took the risk of fighting back. Attempting to regain control of the aircraft from the hijackers is likely to have caused the plane to crash before it reaches its destination due to fierce resistance.

The White House, the Treasury Department, the State Department and other major government agencies began to evacuate. Parts of the Pentagon collapsed. The United Nations headquarters in New York began to evacuate, and tens of thousands of people were affected.

At 10:28:01, the North Building of the World Trade Center collapsed from top to bottom. No one survived on the floor above the impact point.

There are three main reasons why the North Building collapsed later than the South Building: the impact point is higher, the aircraft is slower, and the fire protection system on the affected floor has been partially updated; buildings such as the Marriott Hotel, the US Customs, and the Hilton Hotel near the Twin Towers have also been damaged.

At 10:39 a.m., US President Bushbu ordered that in an emergency, the Air Force could shoot down any aircraft that could potentially conduct an attack.

Washington and New York City have begun a full evacuation work, and the United Nations headquarters has been emptied. A few minutes later, the mayor of New York ordered the evacuation of the Manhattan area.

In the incident, 2998 people were killed, and a total of 411 rescue workers died in the incident. The terrorist attack on that day had a huge impact on the United States and the world. This incident was the second time in history that caused major casualties to the United States after the Pearl Harbor incident during World War II.

This incident is also the worst terrorist attack in human history so far. The US government’s condemnation and position on this incident has also been sympathized and supported by most countries. There are various memorial activities around the world after the incident, and the cleaning of the scene continued until the middle of the following year.

The incident caused a severe blow to the United States. People all over the world felt fear. They firmly opposed the regeneration of the incident, which also led to the cooperation of multiple countries on an international scale to carry out anti-terrorism operations.

After the birth of the United States, the economy was once in a state of paralysis, causing direct economic losses and impacts on some industries.

Located on Manhattan Island, New York, the World Trade Center is a skyscraper built in the early 1970s. It costs up to US$1.1 billion and is a gathering place for world business forces. There are as many as 1,200 companies from all over the world, with 50,000 people working, and about 150,000 business personnel and tourists coming and going every day.

Two buildings that soared into the sky suddenly disappeared. The restoration of the Pentagon was at least hundreds of millions of dollars, and the loss of talent was difficult to estimate in numbers.

Whether for US President Bush, or for American people or American politicians, the terrorist attacks encountered on September 11 are a historic shock.

Within two hours, thousands of casualties were caused by the United States. Even the White House, the President's Air Force One landline, the Department of Defense Building, and the World Trade Building of the Financial and Financial Center were all targeted by terrorist attacks.

Moreover, transportation and tourism have caused serious losses. Four domestic flights in the United States were hijacked in a day and caused huge casualties and property losses, which is indeed rare in history.

After the incident, Bush immediately took appropriate action to restore the government and normal social activities in order to show that he is not threatened by terrorist threats. On the evening of September 11, although the White House still had the possibility of being threatened with attacks, he still decided to return to the White House and talk to the people of the country at the White House, thereby showing that terrorists cannot block the operation of the US Executive Center.

After something happened, Jobs was going back to the United States. Unfortunately, the US government issued a flight ban, which was in a hurry and was useless. Fan Wubing comforted him that no matter how bad things were, it would not affect Apple. After all, this blow would be more to the financial industry. It has little impact on Apple, which is dedicated to high-tech products. Moreover, the order and underwriting agreements signed between the two parties will not have any impact on this matter.

"Even if Apple really encounters some difficulties, there is no need to worry. As a partner, Fan's Investment Group can completely share some of the pressure, whether it is economical," Fan Wubing expressed his attitude very responsibly.

"Thank you very much," said Jobs.

In fact, Jobs didn't want to really reach that point. After all, as Fan's Investment Group, which has extremely abundant cash flow, it would be very easy to acquire Apple if it finds a suitable opportunity. He doesn't want to change from a boss to a worker again.

But who can explain the things in this world clearly? It’s like two World Trade Center buildings, but it collapsed in a blink of an eye.

This world is actually very crazy.
