Chapter 14 The Prayer of Success

Huigang heard the content clearly when the mayor talked to Fei'er just now. Since the monk came back to the female swordsman mountain, he knew that no matter what, he would eventually go out of this town in the future. In the outside world, it might be more convenient to have the identity of the "monk" of this sacred church, and the memory of this life proves this point.

Without any thought, Huigang nodded affirmatively, as if he had agreed to the request. Fei'er, not far away, has been paying attention to the conversation between the mayor and Huigang, and from his expression, he was very worried about gains and losses.

When the mayor went over and told the monk's decision, a bright smile appeared on his face, which had not yet been completely killed. The cuteness and happiness immediately infected everyone. In an instant, the people around him felt that the cemetery seemed to light up, and the sad atmosphere seemed to have completely dissipated.

The mayor stood a little higher and shouted at the town people who had not yet dispersed:

"Today we are here with sorrow, we remember the respectable Father Philip, whose death has caused us to lose a divine guide, but the supreme God of Light has not abandoned us, and our church has a new priest, and he is"

The monk was sighing that the mayor, who was usually quite dull, had such eloquence, but saw the mayor turn around and ask:

"Master, what is your full name?"

The townspeople present laughed at the mayor's mischievousness. Even the female swordsman who was always indifferent couldn't help laughing. The mayor's face turned red because of embarrassment.

"Folite. Huigang"

The monk said loudly

When the monk said this, the audience became quiet. The monk who always appeared in a gentle image suddenly showed strong confidence, which shocked everyone.

On the third day after the funeral, the church had been renovated. Huigang originally wanted to continue living next to Daro, but at the insistence of the people in the town, he moved into the church, and of course he came to live separately from Fei'er.

After entering the church, the monk found that although Fei'er was young, she was already a very capable girl, and she was responsible for all the daily housework.

Since Huigang came to this world, she has been doing these things by herself. At this time, someone has taken care of these housework. Although she was sad, she still felt much more relieved.

Although the name of a church is a little taller bell tower, the rest is just a two-entry courtyard. The monk lives in the one where Father Philip originally lived, and the girl lives in the other. There is a vegetable field behind the church. When Father Philip came to the gravel town from the city, he had a small savings, but it was very difficult to use it to support his life. So in addition to preaching, he planted some vegetables as a supplement.

Life in the church is quite monotonous. Every day, Fei'er wakes up early and opens the door, and then waits for someone to come to confess or pray. As usual, the income of the church comes from donations from believers, but in this remote place, it is naturally impossible to ensure tax collection like the Holy Apologetic Knights in a big city.

There were also few confessors. I heard from Fei Er that Father Philip could still make some money with his own medical skills as a source of living. However, after Old Jack returned here from the city, the life of the father and daughter was also difficult.

Every seven days, Huigang also made up for a while after coming to this church, but Fei'er was not ready to let him talk about it at all. It was ridiculous. It turned out that ascetics in the Holy Church did not need to do these things at all, and Fei'er, who adhered to the doctrine, would naturally not let him do it. This made Huigang, who was determined to preach Buddhism, quite disappointed.

However, since Huigang came to the church, Fei'er was still surprised to find that life has been much better now. First, the mayor promised that the townsmen would pay a certain fee to the church regularly as a reward for Fei'er's preaching. The young hunters also sent some wild game from time to time. Although Huigang did not eat it, she could also exchange money for supplementing the household expenses.

The routine preaching, although there are still so many young people, they are much more regular. It is no longer like when the old priest died, some scoundrels took the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. In fact, those scoundrels were severely warned by the mayor, and Terry also threatened to cut off the thing among them with a hunting knife if there was the same thing.

This period of time in the church was the most comfortable part of the monk in this world, because the environment here made him feel very similar to those in Shaolin. Every day, in addition to meditating and practicing qigong and reciting Buddhist scriptures, he sometimes went to the church in front to treat some patients. When he was free, he also took care of vegetables in the vegetable garden behind him.

When the first preaching day came, many people in the town came to the church with the mayor's persuasion, or other purposes.

The originally small church was full of people. When Fei'er came to the stage in a white robe, everyone's eyes lit up. When Father Philip was alive, he rarely taught Fei'er to go out because of the harassment of a few rogues in the town, so not many people have seen Fei'er. Now, girls who look like dolls come on stage naturally amazed everyone.

But when Fei'er saw so many listeners in the audience, she became nervous, and she was already very shy. She was a little stuttering when she recited the eulogy and the words in the sacred teachings.

At this time, the townspeople who were not willing to come to listen to the lecture were a little unable to sit still. Seeing the audience becoming more and more noisy, Fei'er felt very discouraged and tried her best to bite her lips to prevent herself from crying.

Just as the little girl's first sermon was about to fail, a loud voice came from the backyard of the church:

"All Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas should subdue their minds in this way! All sentient beings, such as eggs, fetal birth, dampness, and transformation; if there is color, if there is no color; if there is thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, I will all enter the remaining Nirvana and be destroyed. In this way, countless sentient beings are destroyed, but there is actually no sentient beings who have been destroyed."

The sound contains a kind of holiness that cleanses people's hearts, and the monk is chanting the "Diamond Sutra" in the backyard.

The restlessness in the audience began to calm down, and everyone felt that their hearts were incredibly peaceful. Although they couldn't understand, Fei'er heard this voice and felt that courage suddenly filled her whole body. She thought it was the courage given to her by God. The little girl clasped her hands tightly in her chest and said loudly:

"God said, I will bring light to you, dispel darkness, and give you warmth..."

At this time, Fei'er's voice had already recovered from the hoarseness. At this time, the elegant words and sentences in the Holy Book were read out in the sound of the yellow oriole coming out of the valley, which complemented Huigang's solemn chanting.

All the villagers who heard it became solemn and recited loudly under Fei'er's guidance.
