[1165 Invitation by the King of Greece]

"Don't worry, be patient, I don't believe that Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Britain, France, Germany, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Italy, Denmark, these countries will not have the head of state to invite us to meet." The cute president answered calmly.

The cute CEO was really not panicked. He had already thought about it. Even this time, there was really no head of government in Europe meeting him, so he didn't care!

There is really a monarch who wants to establish diplomatic relations with China, the Greek king, George I, who is almost forty years old, the first one.

Before coming to Europe, Emperor Hua and Zhao Qingluo conducted research on the leaders of various countries they visited. Through the information from the China Bureau of Statistics, the information they had may be more detailed than that of the senior executives of various countries.

Just like this Greek king, Emperor Hua knew that he was brought by the parliament and not an automatically inherited king, this kind of foundation is usually unstable.

George I was the second son of Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein-Zondeburg-Grüxburg (becoming the second son of King Christian IX of Denmark in 1863) and his wife Princess Louise of Hessen-Cassel. He was born on December 24, 1845 in Copenhagen, the capital of the Denmark Kingdom. He was named Christian William Ferdinand Adolph Georg when he was born.

He had an elder brother: Christian Friedrich William Carr, who later became King Frederick VIII of Denmark; an older sister: Queen Alexandra of England; two younger sisters: Maria Fedorovna, who later became the queen of Russia and Princess Tira, who later became the crown prince of Hannover; and a younger brother: Prince Valdema.

Through his mother's ancestor Bohemia and Anna of Hungary (wife of the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I), he was a descendant of the Komuning dynasty of the Byzantine Empire; through his father's ancestor Amedio VI, Count Savoy, he was a descendant of the Valleoluo dynasty of the Byzantine Empire.

Christian William Ferdinand Adolph Georg's father Christian became the crown prince of Denmark in 1852. He became the prince of Denmark, known as Prince William of Denmark.

When he was young, he served in the Royal Danish Navy.

In 1862, the coup overthrew the rule of King Otto I of Greece and was recognized by Britain, Russia and France.

The Greek National Assembly passed the Greek king with Prince Alfred (later Duke of Edinburgh and Duke of Saxony Coburg Gotha), the second son of Queen Victoria of England, as the Greek king, hoping to obtain the Ionian Islands through Britain.

However, the London Treaty of 1832 stipulated that Britain, Russia and France could not use their own royal families as Greek kings.

Therefore, Britain proposed to be the Greek king of Prince William of Denmark, and unanimously adopted it in the parliament in 1863, declaring it as the Greek King George I.

George I had two obvious differences from his predecessors: first, he was chosen by the Greeks, not the king imposed on the Greeks; second, he was the king of the entire Greeks, not just the king of the Greek kingdom.

This shows that he was not only the king of the Greeks in the Kingdom of Greece, but also the king of the Greeks who lived in territories that did not yet belong to the Kingdom of Greece.

On March 30, 1863, George I took office as King of Greece and held George I's ascension ceremony in Copenhagen. Former Greek Prime Minister Constantine Canaris led a Greek delegation to attend.

On November 15 of the same year, George I's father ascended the throne as King of Denmark, calling Christian IX the first king of the Glüxburg dynasty in Denmark.

The father and son became the founding kings of two countries in the same year, which is very rare in European history.

George I arrived in Athens, the capital of Greece on October 30, 1863. At this time, he was just a 17-year-old young man.

With George I's ascension to the throne, Britain handed the Ionian Islands as a gift to Greece.

George I decided not to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors, so he stepped up his Greek while learning his native Danish language.

He took the motto of "My strength comes from the love of my people."

George I often strolls the streets of Athens, unlike his predecessors who only appear in spectacular convoys.

He found his palace in a state of chaos after the former king went into exile.

So it was decided to repair this building with a history of more than 40 years.

He also made sure that he himself would not be influenced by Danish consultants, who had a good strategic and political discrimination.

In 1864, Greece promulgated a new constitution.

The new constitution increases the rights and freedoms of the people and stipulates the power of a strictly restricted but more powerful constitutional monarch.

It has narrowed down irresponsible actions of the parliament and improved the efficiency of the parliament.

The parliament implemented a one-house system, with direct elections and universal suffrage. This constitution was one of the most democratic constitutions in Europe at that time.

George I took an oath to the Constitution on November 28, 1864.

Although democratic constitutions were implemented, few Greek governments could last for a long time, and elections were often done by bribery.

In 1867, George I married the Russian Grand Duke Olga Constantinovna.

Their eldest son was born the following year.

The public asked the child to be named Constantine, on the one hand, with his Russian grandfather's name, and more importantly, the Greek people hope that one day he will rule Constantine, the capital of his same name.

From 1864 to 1874, Greece experienced a total of 21 cabinets, with the longest term lasting one and a half years.

On May 8, 1875, Charles Tricuspis, who had anonymously criticized George I in newspapers and magazines, became prime minister.

He forced George I to acknowledge the constitutional principle that the king had the obligation to trust the leader of the parliament, and when the latter could lead the majority of the parliament, he would form the government.

He formed the first political party in modern Greece: the New Party.

Although on October 27, Alexandros Kumonduros' National Party united other political parties to oppose him in the general election, causing him to step down.

But the principle of forming a cabinet that accounts for the majority of parliament has been determined.

In the last 25 years of the 19th century, Tricuspis and Cumonduros and his heir Theodoros Delicianis took turns to serve as prime ministers.

In the early days of George I's reign, industrial development was relatively slow; however, foreign trade and shipping had great developments.

George I was named the Greek king, that is, the king of all Greeks. The so-called "great ideal" is to regain the place where the Greeks who were still ruled by foreign countries lived.

George I first proposed to regain Crete.

Most of the residents of Crete were Greeks, but they were always ruled by the Ottoman Empire.

In 1866, a rebellion broke out on the island. The Greeks of Crete asked Crete to be incorporated into Greece and filed a complaint with the protector.

Britain did not agree to the incorporation of Crete into Greece.

Finally, an agreement was reached in 1868, and Crete established a representative government.

Throughout the 1870s, Greece kept putting pressure on the Ottoman Empire to obtain Epirus and Thessaly.

Since 1875, there have been many rebellions against the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans.

In 1877, Russia declared war on the Ottoman Empire, and the Russian-Turkish war broke out.

Then, Romania declared war on the Ottoman Empire.

As the brother of the Russian crown prince, George I was asked to declare war on the Ottoman Empire.

But it was stopped by Britain and France and remained neutral.

In 1878, after the war, German Prime Minister Bismarck invited the great powers to participate in the Berlin Conference.

A Greek representative attended the meeting, and the Ottoman Empire agreed to negotiate with Greece on the expansion of the northern border and the management of Crete.

In October 1878, the Ottoman Empire agreed to establish a representative government in Crete and appoint an Orthodox Christian as governor.

Since 1879, peace talks on the border between Greece and Turkey have begun.

Although the Greek kingdom was pro-Russian because of the king's relationship, this did not prevent the elected king George I from being interested in the Emperor.

The legendary experience of Emperor Hua made George I feel curious and admired, especially after George I heard about the cold treatment that Emperor Hua received in the Ottoman Turkish Empire.

"When they're ready to leave?" George I asked.

"Let's go tomorrow, we plan to visit for three days, and we have not sent anyone to contact us." Royal official Kumon Duros replied.

George I sighed. He, as a king, actually had little power. Unlike the Sultan of the Ottoman Turkish Empire, Greece had a slow industrial development, but it was already considered a capitalist country. A typical form of a capitalist country in this era was that the emperor had basically no power.

Only a few countries, such as Germany, Japan, and the emperors of China, have great power. In addition, countries like the Ottoman Turkish Empire that are still in a semi-feudal state, the more capitalist development a country, the less power it has.

"What exactly do Tricuspis want to do? This is the most important guest to visit the Greek Kingdom. As far as I know, China is a great power in the East, with its national strength far above the Greek Kingdom. It has defeated Tsarist Russia. Being able to establish good relations with such a country will not be harmful to our Greek Kingdom, alas." George I sighed.

"Your Majesty, you don't have to wait for Tricuspis. Your Majesty can directly invite the Emperor of China to meet at the palace to increase His Majesty's reputation in the country." Kumonduros suggested, "Prime Minister Tricuspis does not want to contact China. According to my guess, he has selfish intentions. China has bad relations with Britain and France, and he is pro-British and France."

King George I of Greece suddenly understood the mystery, "It turns out that the trick is not good here. Germany is emerging. The general trend of Europe is not only Britain, France, but also Germany and Austria! We cannot tie ourselves to the British."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Kumonduros was very happy to see that the emperor understood what he meant.

"You will invite Emperor Hua to the palace now. I will take the queen and my children to hold a family dinner to welcome Emperor Hua to Greece." George I stood up and said, "This will be the first important foreign monarch I will meet."

"Okay, I'll make arrangements right away. Please rest assured, Your Majesty." Kumonduros said and went down.

Hua Huang was having fun in a hotel with a group of women. Hua Huang would not be bored, Katherine, Sophia, Lee Tae-hee, Jacoterina Krimova.

After relaxing in the past few days, Jakoterina Krimova has also been much more relaxed. She has indeed become exhausted in her position as Chief Executive in Central Asia over the past year.

Emperor Hua smiled at Yakoterina Krimova and said, "You have to work hard, but it mainly depends on using your brain and arrange more capable subordinates."

"Yes, your majesty, I am not capable enough, and I am learning a lot. I suddenly become the position of the chief executive of the region. I have no experience." Jakoterina Krimova hurriedly said.

The cute president smiled slightly: "I don't have experience, aren't I now experienced? Experience is achieved through hard work, and I believe in your ability."

When Yakoterina Krimova saw that the emperor could speak to her naturally now, she did not regard herself as an outsider at all. She was as happy as Li Tae-hee and Ge Ge.

"Yakotelina Krimova is so beautiful." Katherine is naturally familiar. She can be friends with anyone she has been with for a long time and sits intimately beside Yakotelina Krimova.

Yakoterina Krimova's face turned pink and said, "Sister laughed at me, but my sister is beautiful."

The cute CEO laughed: "Everyone is very beautiful."

"Your Majesty, the Greek King sent His Majesty an invitation to the palace to attend the banquet. The Greek King wanted to welcome His Majesty with a family banquet." Wang Zhankui came to report.

Emperor Hua, Catherine, and Princess Katrina Kaf all know about the political situation in Greece. They know that this king is not a real power faction, and that he has shown his greatest sincerity to be invited like this.

Emperor Hua immediately said happily: "Okay, then go, tell them now, I will go to the banquet."

Princess Katrina Kaifu didn't say anything, and Emperor Hua knew that Princess Katrina Kaifu had agreed. Now Emperor Hua can no longer live without Princess Katrina Kaifu, and is a little dependent. She wants to know Princess Katrina Kaifu's opinions on big and small matters.

"Okay, I'll make arrangements right away. Who will Your Majesty take to the banquet?" Wang Zhankui asked.

"The queen is going, Mrs. Catherine and I will follow you too." Princess Katrina Kaif said softly to Emperor Hua.

The cute CEO smiled slightly: "Well, that's it."

"I want to go too." Sophia said softly.

Katherine smiled and said, "You are too young, let's talk about it, this is not going to play."

Sofia said well-behavedly.

"It was possible, but indeed you are a little too young. You don't understand many things. In the future, you can entertain foreign guests in China and let you go." Emperor Hua smiled at Sophia.

Catherine was happy when she heard this. The Emperor Hua said so, that she wanted to keep Sophia by her side.

Timothy Lee was also very happy and touched Sophia's head, and Sophia leaned against her father's arms.
