Chapter 599
: The Governor must not take action
Emperor Tang and others were shocked and asked hurriedly, "Why the side sect? Why is the 'Huang Ting' mentioned by the wise son-in-law the right path?"
Shi Zhongkui looked at Bodhisattva and Muzha and saw that although they had angry faces, they did not speak to refute.
The Bodhisattva did not dare to refute. In fact, Shi Zhongkui was indeed a disciple of Taoism, and the Taoist ancestor Hongjun did indeed say that the two Western saints would create a side sect.
He only accepted Jie Yin and Zhunti as ‘named disciples’.
Even Western Buddhism was founded by two Western saints after listening to the Taoist ancestors preach three times in Zixiao Palace.
Shi Zhongkui said that "Quietly Chanting Huang Ting" refers to one of the great ways passed down by Taoist ancestor Hongjun. Anyone who dares to refute is deceiving his master and destroying his ancestors.
When the people present heard that the two Western saints were only named disciples of Taoist Hongjun, while his master, uncle, and uncle were direct descendants of Taoist, they immediately felt that Buddhism was far inferior to Taoism.
Moreover, Li Shimin and his father Li Yuan have always promoted that the Li family is the descendant of Lao Tzu. The more Shi Zhongkui promotes the extraordinaryness of Taiqing saints, the more extraordinary his Li family appears.
It's too late to be happy in my heart, I can't refute it, and I don't want to see anyone arguing about it.
And if there weren't too many people at the scene, Li Shimin would have wanted to pester Shi Zhongkui directly and tell him the "Huang Ting Jing".
Seeing everyone's attention, the Bodhisattva was attracted by Shi Zhongkui, and secretly thought in his heart that Xuanmen had already taken advantage of him in Chang'an City.
Under the premise that the emperor and ministers were won over by Shi Zhongkui, no matter what they said or did, they would inevitably feel like their hands were tied.
The Bodhisattva simply took the wooden fork and flew up to the high platform. In front of countless people, he stepped on the auspicious clouds, revealing his extraordinary qualities and instantly attracted everyone's attention.
Shi Zhongkui sneered, "What I'm waiting for is for you to disobey the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother's orders and openly show your holiness in front of others."
He stood up and shouted angrily at the Bodhisattva who had not yet revealed his true form, "Bold, the Great Heavenly Lord and the Queen Mother have already issued imperial orders that those who have become immortals are not allowed to appear holy in front of a large number of mortals in order to compete for incense.
Today you openly disobeyed the decree of Heaven, so I will take you to Heaven and hand you over to the Great Heavenly Lord to deal with you."
After saying that, under the astonished eyes of the emperor and others, Shi Zhongkui shouted to the sky, "Here comes someone."
As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of "rumbling" thunder suddenly sounded in the sky, and Dansheng was seen wearing armor and holding the Five Thunder Weng golden hammer in his hand, and the whole sky was filled with thunder.
That power is no worse than the Thunder God and the Lightning Mother.
Following them were the 1,200 soldiers from the Demon-Suppressing Governor's Mansion and the Fourth Lieutenants Zhang, Ge, Xu and Qiu, who formed a neat military formation and descended straight from the sky on auspicious clouds.
But when I saw the military formation, the yellow wind rolled and darkened the sky, and the purple mist filled the ground.
There is a vague intention of surrounding the Bodhisattva.
It was so frightening that countless people in Chang'an City lost their legs and knelt on the ground to worship.
Even Emperor Tang couldn't sit still and stood up, wanting to salute to the formation of 1,200 troops.
Shi Zhongkui supported the Emperor of Tang Dynasty and said, "Your Majesty, please don't be surprised. This is a general under the banner of Pindao Zhang."
The Emperor of the Tang Dynasty was overjoyed and secretly thought that his son-in-law was really an important minister leading troops in heaven. With such an army under his command, who in the world would not be afraid?
My country has such strong support, so why worry about not being able to consolidate it forever?
Bodhisattva and Muzha were shocked. They did not expect that Shi Zhongkui would dare to send people to arrest their master and disciple.
He hurriedly appeared to rescue Ku Yuan, carrying the pure vase of willows up to the sky. On the left stood the wooden chahui bank, holding on to the iron rod, to calm down the uneasiness in his heart.
Pulling himself together, he shouted angrily at Dan Sheng and the Fourth Lieutenant, "You blind evildoer, Bodhisattva is in front of you, why don't you come forward and pay homage."
Nanhai Bodhisattva is indeed one of the Five Elders of the Five Directions in Heaven, and his status is even higher than that of the top one in Heaven. Even Shi Zhongkui had to show courtesy to the Bodhisattva when he met him.
Dansheng and the Fourth Lieutenant did not dare to openly ignore the concept of "honor and inferiority", so they put away their weapons and handed them over as a salute.
However, without Shi Zhongkui's order, the soldiers of the Dudu Mansion did not dare to give up their positions and allowed Bodhisattva and Muzha to leave.
It is said that military orders are like mountains, and disobeying the general's orders is a crime of beheading.
It is much more serious than offending the Bodhisattva.
Shi Zhongkui, who was standing next to Emperor Tang, suddenly changed into a dragon robe with purple ribbons, a purple gold crown on his head, star-chasing moon shoes on his feet, and stood on the lotus platform of innate creation.
Qin Shubao, who had already put on a gold helmet and silver armor, and was holding a pair of gold maces, was ordered to protect the Tang Emperor, and then he flew straight into the air.
He bowed to the Bodhisattva first, and then asked, "Can the Bodhisattva honor the great deity's order?"
The Bodhisattva did not argue with Shi Zhongkui. He saw Shi Zhongkui standing on the eighth-level innate lotus platform. He could not hold him back for a while.
He didn't even have the confidence to break through the defense of the lotus platform, and the Bodhisattva also knew that he had indeed violated the laws of nature by openly revealing his true form to save suffering today.
Fortunately, Xitian Lingshan is an independent prince, and the Heavenly Court has only nominal jurisdiction.
Moreover, in fact, there are many people and forces beyond the control of the Jade Emperor. The Bodhisattva smiled and said to Shi Zhongkui, "The great governor is kind to me. The poor monk has received the decree of Tathagata Buddha from Lingshan Mountain in the West and came to the East to find a good believer.
Teach him to travel through thousands of mountains and thousands of rivers to seek the true scriptures at the Lingshan Mountain in the West, and pass them on to the East forever to persuade all sentient beings. This is a blessing as great as the mountains and a blessing as deep as the sea.
The Buddhist disciples I saw today who have been observing for many days are indeed rare virtuous people in the Eastern Tang Dynasty.
Only then was he satisfied, and he was about to go to Lingshan to report to the Buddha. If the Grand Governor has any doubts, he might as well go to Lingshan with the poor monk and wait until he has finished reporting to me, Buddha Tathagata, before making any further calculations."
Shi Zhongkui cursed in his heart, saying that he was using Buddha to suppress him.
Just as he was about to think of a way to defeat the Bodhisattva's words, he heard someone in the sky shouting loudly, "Master, please don't take any action. I have a decree from the Great Heavenly Lord for this purpose."
Shi Zhongkui looked back and saw Taibai Jinxing, an old man, driving an auspicious cloud and hurried towards him.
Needless to say, it must have been the noise caused by all the soldiers from the Governor's Mansion descending to earth, which alerted the Jade Emperor.
The Jade Emperor and Buddha acted together five hundred years ago in order to elevate the status of Buddhism and balance and restrict the most powerful Taoism.
Shi Zhongkui could only endure the dissatisfaction in his heart, smiled and said to Jin Xing, "You old man, you won't come early, you won't come late, but you have to wait until someone and the Bodhisattva have an argument before you come."
Taibai Jinxing's heart tightened. These words clearly meant that the Jade Emperor intentionally saw the conflict between Xuanmen and Buddhism.
Although this is true, Taibai Jinxing would never dare to admit it.
He hurriedly saluted Shi Zhongkui and the Bodhisattva and said, "Please forgive me, the Buddha and the Grand Governor. I am old and frail, and I have indeed wasted time.
Fortunately, this 'reason cannot be argued', since the Grand Governor and the Buddha are just discussing the theory, it doesn't matter whether there is an edict from the Great Heavenly Lord."
Shi Zhongkui was so amused by Taibai Jinxing's words that he burst into laughter.
When you meet a shameless person, it is useless to reason with him.
He stretched out his hand and said, "Where is the Great Heavenly Lord's decree? Bring it to me and see."
