Chapter one hundred and seventy-eight in front of you

Zhu Wanchun said to Min Yuan: "This thing was bought by the Nanjing Ministry of Industry from Macau. There is a artillery factory there. In our capital, Sun Yuanhua bought machines from Macau. Of course, they bought the most artillery. Our Daxing Emperor also gave these Macau cannons the name of General Shenwei. Most of them were placed on the walls of the capital. Now I don't know who has fallen into the hands of."

The artillery factory Zhu Wanchun mentioned was the Bujialao artillery factory in Macau, and it was founded during the Jiajing period. It manufactured a large number of cast artillery tools from Europe and Macau. During the Jiajing period, it began to produce two types of artillery guns and iron cannons. The earliest business was to provide naval guns to colonists in various countries in Asia. The copper, iron ore, sulfur and other essentials were mostly purchased from Japan, and the cast artillery was sold to colonists in Southeast Asia for installation and use on fleet warships.

Of course, the colonists at that time would also build a large number of forts in the colonies to protect colonial cities and ports.

This is a good habit. As long as the fort is built and the guards and fleets are combined, the natives will have almost no chance.

The Dutch built the city of Jelan Chau in Taiwan, which was the most common thing for colonists at that time, choosing a good harbor and building large castles like a castle on the beach. Officials, army, seamen, and immigrants began to live in the castle, and gradually formed storage areas, dock areas, and trade areas around the castle. Then, the land was reclaimed, so that local indigenous people could plant and work for the colonists, and gradually formed a virtuous cycle.

The Portuguese such as Bugalao may not be a good idea to fight in Macau. They used renting methods to get Macau. When the Ming Dynasty was in power, these Portuguese were still following the rules. Macau was just a place where they repaired ships and parked for rest, and did not dare to take laws on their own. They were just two dislikes with the colonists.

By the end of the Ming Dynasty, they directly regarded Macau as a colonist, built churches, built artillery, shipyards, docks, and artillery factories. They gradually formed a colonial system, and even drove away the Ming garrison and officials, turning against each other like a book.

At this moment, the relationship between the two sides was quite good. After all, the Portuguese regarded the Ming Dynasty as a civilized country. It was not until the end of the Southern Ming Dynasty that the honeymoon period of both sides completely ended. These foreign colonists surrendered to the Qing court and could continue to stay in Macau.

The Kagarao Artillery Factory cast a large number of artillery pieces at its peak. Not only were Asian colonists and governments purchased them, but its high-quality artillery was also sold directly back to Europe.

Xu Guangqi alone bought 80 heavy artillery guns at one time. The Ming court also communicated through the Jesu Association many times to buy cast cannon machines and red cannons in Macau.

Chongzhen also had high hopes for these artillery and was given the name of General Shenwei, hoping to play a role in the war against the Eastern Barbarians, but the result was of course not as good as it would be.

The court mostly bought cannons directly and also entrusts experts like Sun Yuanhua to learn how to cast cannons.

The boring machine in front of him is used to rotate the gun barrel, but it is not what Min Yuanqi thought of as drilling the boring line. This is what he took for granted.

The Folang machine cannon is an iron cannon. The process of casting cannons is relatively complex and the barrel is relatively rough after forming. In fact, copper cannons also require drilling and boring, but they are not as important as iron cannon barrels.

The Folang machine cannon is no longer made of forging, but is made of clay mold casting.

The first step is molding.

Use very dry nanmu or fir wood to make a cannon mold according to the style of the cannon body. The two ends of the cannon mold should be more than one foot long to make a shaft head, and add an iron rotating stick to the shaft head, and then place the cannon mold on the rotating frame to rotate the mud. After the cannon mold is made, install the mold with the words "现口文", and apply a layer of the cannon mold evenly with fine coal ash. After drying, use the fine yellow mud and the sifted fine sand, mix it into the 28-year-old to form a mud, shake the wool, mix it into the mud, mix it into the mud, and mix it into the "现".

After the mud is prepared, apply it on the gun mold, then turn the rotating stick, swing the board with a round-mouth wooden plate, dip it in water and wait until it is dry. After it is dried, add mud according to the previous method. After the mud is put to a certain thickness, use thick iron wire to wrap it from the head of the gun mold to the tail, and then apply mud according to the method just now. After the thickness is almost reached, use iron bars with a large finger, use more long ones and less short ones, and evenly place them on the gun mold as a skeleton. Then use an iron hoop of one inch wide and five-minute thick to fuse the head of the gun mold, and evenly hang it outside the iron bars from the head of the gun mold to the tail.

Then put the mud on and then squish it evenly. After it is completely dry, take out the wood core and put the charcoal fire into the mud mold. On the one hand, it is to burn the mud mold to dry the mud mold, and on the other hand, it is to burn the gun ears, gun hoops and flower heads into ashes. After cooling, sweep out the ash, place the bottom of the wood mold, and then install the tail beads. Then put the mud on. After drying, take out the bottom of the wooden gun mold, and then use charcoal fire to burn the tail beads. After cooling, wait for the kiln to cast.

At the same time, the mold center is made of iron, the length is equal to the inner diameter of the cannon, and the size is half the inner diameter of the cannon. It is also very muddy, so it is easy to use after it is dry.

The second step is to set up the cannon mold and the mold core. The cannon mold is light for several thousand kilograms, and the cannon mold is heavy for tens of thousands of kilograms, and the cannon core is also very bulky. It depends on the help of simple machinery. First lay the cannon mold, then install the mold core in the cannon mold, tighten the lower mouth, and pad it with dry soil around it.

The third step is to refine ingredients. Whether it is pig iron or copper, it must be refined first, and then cast into thin slices of three or five kilograms per piece, waiting to be poured into a large furnace for casting.

The fourth step is to pour copper and iron. Put the refined copper and iron into a pre-bricked copper and iron-shaped copper and pour the furnace, then use high heat to catalyze the copper and iron into juice, and then gradually add copper and iron. When all the copper and iron juice is clear, like oil and water, and gold and green flames are raised on it, the copper and iron juice will be drawn out and gradually put into the mold. When the wood mold is filled, the casting is completed.

The fifth step is to start a heart. After three days of casting the cannon, loosen the mold heart; on the fifth day, take out the mold heart; on the eighth day, dig up the soil, put down the cannon, raise two feet high at both ends, knock out the mud on the mold, sweep it clean, and the cannon body will be cast.

The sixth step is to look at the chamber. It is to use a certain method to check whether the chamber is smooth and smooth. The chamber is a good cannon.

The seventh step is to have the same mouth. After the gun is cast, the muzzles are uneven and must be uniform so that the muzzles are neat and smooth.

The eighth step is to burr the cauldron. Punch the knife into the muzzle and turn the inner chamber of the cannon to be extremely smooth.

The ninth step is to drill the fire door. Whether the position of the cannon is appropriate depends on the use of the cannon. Therefore, it is necessary to compare the size of the inner chamber, close to the bottom of the cannon, use a solid steel drill, and dip oil to drill the fire door. The fire door must be parallel to the bottom of the cannon to be considered appropriate.

The boring machine in front of you is used for boring. The barrel of the cannon is fixed on the boring machine, the drill bit is operated by the machine, and the cannon chamber is smooth and clean. The final process of the entire cannon is the most important step.

In addition, there is a drilling machine, which is smaller than a boring machine, and is used to drill fire doors.

Min Yuanqi was very interested in these boring machines and drilling machines. This was a serious industrial production. Even if it was so early and rough, he still wanted to see it with relish.

The military officers around him began to feel a little bored, so Min Yuanqi simply waved his hand and drove away these guys who were in trouble.

Although Zhu Wanchun didn't understand what Min Yuanqi was trying to get, she was still smiling and watching.

After a while, Chen De, the Li brothers, Shen Yong and others rushed over.

When they saw that all the craftsmen were blacksmiths, Chen De and others were disappointed, and there was a huge gap in civilian craftsmen. However, Yuntiguan was a radius of hundreds of miles, and even the folk craftsmen from Huai'an to Yancheng were recruited. Chen De and others also knew that this matter was too urgent. This time, they heard that dozens of new craftsmen came, and these people rushed over excitedly, and then they were disappointed.

Shen Yong was so smiling that he was invisible. He was a blacksmith used by the military town. These were from the Nanjing Ministry of Works, but everyone was considered suffering people. The same experience made everyone fall in love with each other even though they had never met before.

The craftsmen in front of him opened their eyes. First, there were a large number of military officers, and then many flag soldiers who were not on holiday also came to watch the fun. The craftsmen who repaired the boats also wandered over, and the farmers who worked in the fields also squatted on the ridges to see the novelty.

Then the craftsmen like them came over. After hearing that they were iron, Mu Zuo left disappointed. He clasped his fists and left directly, and he clasped his fists in front of him. He was in a very relaxed and calm state.

These people come and go in a hurry, and from the words, everyone has something to do, so they can't delay it too much.

This also surprised these craftsmen who came from Nanjing’s Ministry of Works.

If the officials are there to supervise the pigs, dogs and food, they can only work hard.

If there is no supervision, it is necessary to drag it if you can. If you can, it is necessary to drag it if you can. Anyway, as long as the whip is not pulled on the body, it is good to be able to hide for a moment and recover your strength.

This body of tendon is for life. Without the supervision of the whip, everyone will never be willing to work hard.

The craftsmen at Yundi Pass are completely different. Not only do they not have much respect and fear of Shangguan, but they are very important to see what they are doing. This is really strange.

There was a craftsman who quietly grabbed Shen Yong's inquiry. Shen Yong focused on the boring machine and punching machine. He thoughtfully, and didn't care about it when he heard this. He just said casually: "I used to be like you, now you see what I look like. Here we are not bullied or bullied, we do more, and we make more money. We are all working hard on our own. We earn more, and our family can eat enough, and our children can also make them motivated to study and improve... I won't say much, and you will naturally know after you have been here for a long time."

Before this, there were Min Yuanqi's guarantee and Zhu Wanchun's temptation, but before arriving at the thousand households of this remote garrison, these craftsmen were still worried. Even if they saw various scenes at Yuntiguan, they also sent a large army of ten thousand people to fight against each other. The uneasiness in the hearts of various craftsmen was already at the extreme.

At this point, seeing all kinds of strange situations, I felt that this place was very different from other places, and when I heard Shen Yong's words, these craftsmen who came from Nanjing were finally completely relieved.

After all, the great people guarantee that these craftsmen can hear more and see more, which doesn’t count.

However, Shen Yong in front of him was a craftsman, just like them, but now he was not their strong and thin facial expressions, and had no energy tormented by suffering.

All the craftsmen, farmers, and flag soldiers were strong and healthy, with red faces, calm expressions and confident attitudes. The robes they wore were mostly new, and even the old ones were obviously not long. Unlike these craftsmen who went north, the robes on them were ragged, and they were almost patched.

After passing this dock, there are farmland under renovation everywhere. In addition to the construction site for defense, there are also large areas of construction areas.

This large plain, forest land, dam, canal, river, and large buildings are invisible at a glance.

A few miles away, two or three thousand soldiers in gray robes were practicing with various weapons. Although these soldiers were far away, they could not see their appearance, judging from the majestic military order slogans, the neat and mighty tricks, and the dazzling cold light of weapons, this was undoubtedly an elite army that these craftsmen had never seen before.

The Beijing soldiers in Nanjing were occupied by powerful families, just like the camp soldiers in the capital. They usually just guard the gate or do some camp life plans, and they have no soldiers on their bodies.

Even if the soldiers in the Caojiang camp are carrying big guns, they look lazy all day long. They have to wait until the imperial court sends officials or censors to inspect them before they gather in the camp, set up a few Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams formations, shout for a while, change the formation according to the flag, and barely pass the pass perfunctorily.

How could the military camp a few miles away, those flag soldiers, those men with a powerful aura and majestic spirit, the Caojiang camp soldiers in Nanjing have the courage to compare with them?

With this evidence, these craftsmen were really relieved, and they immediately communicated with Shen Yong and others.
