Chapter 587

Tang Monk finally came to Chang'an. Although he found that the people of Chang'an did not respect the Buddha as soon as he entered the city, he was still confident. After resting, he was ready to devote himself to studying, promote Buddhism and promote Buddhist principles, so that the people of Chang'an could feel the greatness of Buddhism. However, before he spread Buddhist principles, he had to feel the economic atmosphere in Chang'an. Even monks were thinking of ways to make money, thinking of recruiting more disciples, holding more Dharma meetings, and making more incense money.

"Learn from the Dharma?" When Tang Monk came to Chang'an to distinguish the Dharma, the monk shook his head repeatedly and said, "Mutuality makes money. It is not popular for us monks in Chang'an to distinguish the Dharma. Monks praise monks. It is a Dharma meeting where everyone communicates with each other in a harmonious manner to attract believers to make money. To distinguish the Dharma, you have to participate in a debate meeting. That is the most amazing thing. At the debate meeting, Buddhism is unified from the outside, and there are no monks and monks who debate."

Tang Monk was stunned. Why is this Chang'an monk so merciless? He just keeps talking and makes money. He is not pious at all. He couldn't help but say: "Money is just something outside of his body. Why should he be so persistent? This violates the Buddhist rules."

"Qing Rules? Originally, there were precepts that "no accumulation of gold, silver and treasures" and "no meals after noon", but now there are no more. Only the ten precepts are left with Bajie. When are you talking about the Qing Rules?" The monk was righteous and said that the master had already turned the Ten Precepts into Bajie, so what Tang Monk said was also the old Huangqing, and there were new rules in Chang'an.

Tang Seng once again felt that Buddhism had been distorted and had ambiguity. Even Buddhist disciples were so secular, and he felt that only the Indian scriptures had the possibility of revitalizing Buddhism.

Unfortunately, India is too far away, so I should observe it in Chang'an City for a while. Tang Monk, a monk from other places, could strongly feel the difference in Chang'an. It is really because of the coming of all countries. The surrounding small countries and small countries will do everything possible to come to the Tang Dynasty to purchase goods and then transport them back to make money.

Of course, merchants can also transport local goods to Chang'an for sale, and everything can be sold. There are land routes in the west and water routes in the east, and money and goods are flowing continuously, but this has also caused the people of Chang'an to look at money in everything.

Tang Monk asked in confusion: "Can money solve the troubles of birth, old age, sickness and death?"

"It was not possible before, but now it is OK. In the past, people would come to ask Buddha to worship God when they were sick, but now they have a hospital, and they can see a doctor if they spend money. If they really can't, they will come to pray for God. You can also go to the hospital for giving birth, and you can basically give birth. If you have difficulty giving birth, you can take out the child. So money is more important than Buddha now." The monk from Chang'an said helplessly: "We monks have to go to the hospital when they are sick, and they have to spend money."

The scriptures do not cure diseases, so they look at money. After all, money can really solve most problems. I didn’t have such strong medical skills before, and even if I have money, I have to die. Naturally, the power of the gods can comfort people’s hearts more. But when money can solve problems, the power of money is revealed.

Tang Monk was speechless and could only go to Chang'an Street to experience the crowded and lively atmosphere and the power of materialism. He soon discovered a phenomenon that both the extremes of lack of money and rich like to worship God. He realized that people without money can only pray to God, while rich people are more likely to encounter problems that money cannot solve, so they also have to worship God. One is that they have no money, and the other is that money cannot solve it, so the temple has not been eliminated. At the same time, he also found that there are many scammers, walking around, looking, listening, and often hear topics about scammers and thieves, which shows that people in this world are in bad hearts.

True scriptures must be included. Tang Monk had a voice in his heart telling him that only by seeking the True scriptures can he save the world, soothe people's hearts, and save the suffering.

"What you see and hear is ignorance." Ignorance is a Buddhist term, which is almost equivalent to ignorance.

"Isn't this the Buddhist monk who was carrying Buddha before?" Huang Chongxia and her friends met Xuanzang again after attending the imperial examination and went up to invite him to attend the students' gathering.

Tang Monk is handsome, so everyone is happy to take him to play.

I have to say that handsome guys are popular. These students don’t invite outsiders casually on weekdays, but Tang Seng is an exception. Today they are going to have a dinner in the suburbs and talk about the future.

After participating in the imperial examination, if they go well, they will soon become Jinshi, and becoming Jinshi will have a bright future.

Tang Seng also knew that the one who helped him before was the young student who was Ruo Yuguan, and he was also a popular candidate for the top scorer this year. This student was a little thin and not outstanding among many students, but his gentle temperament can indeed give people a great favor.

Tang Monk's Buddhist cultivation surprised the students. Nowadays, no one is willing to talk about Confucianism, but he is more willing to talk about metaphysics and Buddhism. This is the disadvantage of the Han Dynasty's supremacy of Confucianism, which triggered a sharp rebound, Wei and Jin dynasties and Sui Dynasty talked about Buddhism. It was not until the ancient Chinese movement that Confucianism emerged again.

It's like two switches, one is on, one is off, one is off, one is off.

The students have also read Buddhist scriptures, all know about Buddhism, and they cannot stand the behavior of Chang'an monks chasing money. So everyone had a happy conversation, and Xuanzang's name began to rise.

After that, Tang Seng was often invited to attend various student gatherings, everyone discussed and made progress together. As the date of the release of the results approached, Huang Chongxia became more and more nervous. Others thought she was worried that she would not win the top scorer, but only she knew that she was actually afraid of winning the top scorer.

In fact, during this period, she found that she had a little affection for Tang Seng, but Tang Seng was a monk, and she had not revenged her great grudges and was treated with grievances. She really shouldn't consider the relationship between men and women. If she could clear the family's grievances, she would definitely restore her daughter to meet Xuanzang, but she didn't know if he was willing to return to secular life at that time.

Yunyao didn't know that she and Tang Seng were going to become rivals in love. In fact, if Huang Chongxia liked another man, Yunyao would not stop her from pursuing true love. After all, all Yunyao needed was Huang Chongxia's identity as a man, and she was just using it instead of having real feelings. As long as Huang Bixia was willing to cooperate as the prince consort, Yunyao would not mind her secretly pursuing true love. However, Tang Seng was obviously not a good choice, because falling in love with him would be unlucky.

Yunyao is ready to get married because she knows her emperor father very well. As long as it is not a matter of principle, Li Shimin will support her daughter.

So Li Shimin did order Huang Chongxia as the top scholar and had already written the edict of the son-in-law. Of course, Yun Yao's fief is indispensable. If you marry, you will be separated. You have to prepare a dowry for your daughter to ensure that she has no worries about food and clothing in the future. The fiefdom tax is Yun Yao's pocket money.

There are also arrangements for the Prince Consort's Mansion and various wedding preparations. Li Shimin and Empress Changsun have arranged them. In short, they must be held in a grand manner and have fun with the people.

Huang Chongxia hoped that she would not win the top scorer, but she still won the top spot when the results were released.

The list of articles is in multiple copies and is posted in many places in Chang'an. Many people booked the teahouse opposite the list of articles early in the morning to watch the fun, because every time the list was posted, every list of articles was very lively and crowded.

On the walls, on the trees, and on the roofs, there are people. People are crowded and crowded, just like celebrating the festival.

"Huang Chongxia is the top spot." Someone in the crowd cheered. It seemed that they were all happy to witness a good story. The princess gave the top scholar to be the son-in-law, but there was no such a good show before.
