Chapter 71(2/2)

"I also bought a cake on your birthday last year," Xu Lie explained.

After the words came to an end, the two of them laughed together.

Su Hao looked at the flames that were pounding in front of her eyes and sighed regretfully: "I didn't accompany you to adulthood."

Although she did not say the subtext of this sentence, Xu Lie understood it and she was sorry.

Xu Lie frowned and shook his head: "This should be blamed on me. Why didn't I ask why I broke off contact with you last year?"

Before coming to the United States, he had thought of many answers about this, but since they met again, Su Hao had never asked him this question, as if it was not a question at all.

"Don't you want to push me for my own good?" Su Hao said curiously, "Is there any other reason?"

Xu Lie silently, shook his head: "I won't do it in the future, never again." He smiled and rubbed her hair, "Make a wish."

Su Hao closed his eyes and folded his hands together: "The first wish is that Su Hao will succeed in his studies this year and become the most awesome oil painting student in Gadrie."

"The second wish is that Xu Lie will always smile this year, and he will never have any other worries except worrying about how to make his girlfriend happy every day."

Xu Lie looked at her and laughed.

"The third wish is that I hope I can celebrate my birthday like this next year," Su Hao said softly, "I hope I can celebrate my birthday like this every year."

Xu Lie's eyes flashed slightly because he knew how heavy this wish was.

Su Hao opened his eyes, clapped and blew out the candles when he was done.

The room instantly fell into darkness without seeing any fingers.

"Oh, am I going to blow early?" Su Hao blinked in the darkness and stood up, "Where is the light coming?"

"I'll do it." Xu Lie stood up in the dark.

Su Hao stood still, waiting for the light to light up, but first felt a pair of arms passing through her waist and hugging her into her arms from behind.

Darkness gives people a keen and slender nerve.

Su Hao suddenly realized that this hug was different from the usual intimate hug.

"Hmm?" Su Hao turned around and asked a question.

Xu Lie lowered his head, pressed his chin against her shoulder, and said solemnly: "I will do my best to help you realize your third wish."

Su Hao was so excited that he made such a strong wish. He spent his birthday like this every year, and that would be a lifelong thing.

After she finished speaking, just like the saying "Oh, did I brag too early?", she herself felt that this wish was made too early, and just regarded it as a beautiful meaning of "every year after year", but she did not expect that Xu Lie would turn her wish into a heavier promise.

What's even more incredible is that at this moment she did not regard it as a beautiful empty talk.

She was actually willing to believe such a promise when she was eighteen years old.
