Chapter 20 The Donkey at Hogwarts
Filch took Sherlock to an office on the third floor and handed him the key.
"This office was lived in by Kilow, the last defense professor, but during the summer vacation I cleared all his belongings. The elves in the castle have been completely cleaned up, so you can live in with confidence."
Sherlock took the key from his hand, and Felch's old face showed a complimentary smile like a blooming chrysanthemum.
"You first arrange your room Professor Forrest. I will go back and prepare some things. When I patrol the castle later, I will come to the third floor to find you."
After saying that, he turned around and left here.
After watching his back disappear at the corner of the stairs, Sherlock inserted the key into the door and walked into his future residence in Hogwarts.
The office outside is very spacious, with a bookshelves that occupy half of the wall next to the wall, a clothes hanger behind the door, and a large desk in the room facing the door.
It was also as Felch said, cleaned up, with no trace of dust on the bookshelf and the tabletop.
Sherlock's suitcase was placed on the side of his desk in a regular manner.
He moved out all the books and notes inside, placed them on the bookshelf, and then brought the robe to the bedroom behind the office with his suitcase.
The bed was already prepared by a elves, and the toiletries and daily necessities were prepared very well, and it was completely at the level of moving in with your bag.
The students living in Hogwarts were really happy. Sherlock now even doubted whether the elves in the castle would help clean the clothes they usually changed.
Let these students live in the castle, and have a lot happier life than at home.
After tidying up his office and bedroom, he sat at his desk and picked up the defense class schedule given by Professor McGonagall at the end of the dinner.
To be honest, being a professor in Hogwarts is not an easy job.
Especially main courses such as spells, transformations, potions, herbs, magic history, astronomy and black magic defense.
There are seven graders in the castle, and each age has to take at least one major class a week (about one and a half hours, except for astronomy classes), which means that these seven professors are basically not idle from Monday to Friday.
Does it sound pretty good and not too hard?
But don't forget that Hogwarts was divided into four academies.
Students from four colleges in the same grade will not attend each class together. Generally, students from two colleges will take a class together. That is to say, the professors in the same grade will need to attend two classes, and the workload will be doubled!
If you use the normal Muggle school to make an example.
Just like a seven-year primary school with two classes in each grade, but there is only one math teacher in the whole school. This teacher is responsible for the mathematics classes and after-class assignments of all students in the fourteen classes in the school!
Fourteen classes a week, each class is not only a big class of more than an hour, but also a homework of all students in the school must be corrected and checked after class.
The study and life of students at Hogwarts is not necessarily hard, but the professors of these seven main courses are really more tired than the donkeys in the production team.
From today on, Sherlock will also join the production team of Hogwarts and become a donkey who dares not rest.
He looked at tomorrow's course. The first class in the morning was for first grade Lavenclaw and Gryffindor, and the afternoon class also had Gryffindor, but this time it was for second grade, namely Harry and the others.
The arrangement on the class schedule is exactly what he wants. First, try the two classes in the lower grades and see the students' reactions. Only then can he make changes to the courses in the higher grades.
After preparing what you need for tomorrow's class, a knock suddenly came from outside the office door, and Felch's complimentary voice rang outside.
"Professor Forrest, we can set out."
Sherlock looked at the time and it was just past eight o'clock. According to the original owner's diary, the curfew time should start from nine o'clock.
He sorted out his robe, his expression became indifferent again, and opened the door.
"Are you going to do a curfew patrol before nine o'clock?"
Felch explained to him.
"It is not necessary to check curfews when patrolling in the castle. It is precisely because there is no time for curfew. Maybe students may use spells in the corridors, which is not allowed according to school rules. Students in those classes of your past are very law-abiding, but in recent years, students who have entered school are becoming more and more wanton, especially those in Gryffindor."
He said, and then his face turned gloomy as if he was reminded of some bad memories.
"If I want to say, Professor Dumbledore is still too kind. Now it is time to restore the previous castle management system and treat disobedient students with handcuffs and whips! This makes them dare not make mistakes again!"
Good guy, I didn't expect you to be an old man.
Sherlock complained silently in his heart, but did not respond to what he said on the surface. Instead, he turned around and closed the office door and started his nightly patrol trip with him.
"Where will we go first?" Sherlock asked.
Felch said without hesitation: "First go to the near Gryffindor's lounge. On the first night of the semester, I would catch students who use magic around there, especially after the two little bastards entered school!"
His last sentence subconsciously gritted his teeth, and Sherlock could guess even without thinking about it.
The Gryffindor student who could make Filch hold such a grudge was no one except the Weasley twins.
Sherlock doesn't actually care where Felchi wants to patrol.
This time he asked to come out with him, just to take the opportunity to get to know the entire Hogwarts Castle.
It is not necessary to know every place clearly. Just know roughly where the lounges of the four colleges are, where the offices of teachers in each subject are, and which classrooms are commonly used.
This would not make him look dark in the castle tomorrow. Like a freshman who just started school, he didn't even know where the gate of Hogwarts opened.
They walked on the stairs leading to the tower where the Gryffindor lounge was located, and as soon as they arrived at the fifth floor, they heard the conversation between two people coming out of the corner.
"Fortunately Professor Dumbledore did not fire us."
"But even this is embarrassing enough. I don't dare to think about how everyone will think of us when we return to the Gryffindor Lounge in this outfit."
"Hi! What are you afraid of? The bandages on us are medals that only heroes have!"
"Yes, in the car during the day, we are indeed seen by everyone like heroes. Now others will only call us bears. And Professor Forrest, I waved to him in the car... I don't know if there is any class for him tomorrow. I think we should go and get Mrs. Pomfrey to get a fake note, otherwise I really have no shame to take his class with this look."
Harry chatted with a bandage on his head and Ron with a cast on his hands, chatting through the corner of the stairs.
