Chapter 111 Ask the Monk
Ji Liao didn't understand what the soup the girls and the others tasted.
After all, Chen Xiaohan's expression was not like a fake, but he clearly saw his daughter's narrow-mindedness. This also became a mystery in Ji Liao's heart, but when he thought of Chen Xiaohan's soup, he would have a subconscious headache. Drinking Chen Xiaohan's soup was more tiring than fighting with others.
Ji Liao still drank all the soup, after all, this was what he asked for, so no wonder.
Then Ji Liao could only pretend to be nothing and talk and laugh with the three girls for a while. When the stars were shining, Zhao Xiyi was about to go back to meditate, and they each dispersed.
After resting for another night, Ji Liao quietly went to Nalanda Temple the next day, preparing to thank Miaose himself. He had the wooden sign of identity given by Nalanda Temple, so he was able to enter the temple without any obstacles.
Just as he went, the morning bell rang, and the monks in the temple began to do morning classes. He asked the monks in the temple and knew that Miaose was teaching Buddhism in the Heavenly King Hall today. He asked all the way and finally found the Heavenly King Hall. It was a magnificent hall, with a platform on the steps of the His Highness, and a white elephant stood on it.
Next to the white elephant is a pool, which absorbs water with a long nose and forms a fountain.
Ji Liao walked by the white elephant and found a black dragon growing in the pool water. He thought that Nalanda Temple was indeed in great spirit, and even the dragon dared to be stocked in the pool at will.
The monks in the Heavenly King Hall sat in several layers inside and outside, and the wonderful colors were sitting in the middle of the circle, sitting on a cushion, explaining the Dharma like a lotus flower.
He just talked and didn't ask questions. His voice was loud but he didn't shock his ears. He ensured that all the monks in the hall could hear clearly and clearly.
After Ji Liao came in, no monk questioned him. He found a place to sit down and listened quietly to Miaose to explain the Dharma. He also studied Buddhist scriptures, so it was clear that Miaose’s content was not novel, as if he was reading the scriptures.
It took about an hour before Miaose finished teaching the Dharma and the monks dispersed.
Only Ji Liao did not leave.
Miaose saw him and smiled at him, "You're tired of listening, let's go to the quiet room behind the palace to sit."
Ji Liao smiled and said, "I really want to ask for it."
The quiet room behind the Heavenly King Hall is unique. There are small novice monks lit an incense burner, and Buddha smoke lingers on the Buddha statues on the four walls. The Buddha statues should be Maitreya, carrying cloth bags and placing various handprints.
Ji Liao took a look and guessed that this was a kind of Buddhist practice method.
Miaose did not hide it, and explained: "The ones drawn on it are the practice of vacuum handprints. I have wasted half of my life on it, and this Buddha is really harmful to people."
Seeing that he was talking interestingly, Ji Liao smiled and said, "The master said this here, and he was not afraid of disturbing the Buddha."
Miaose smiled and said, "Maitreya Buddha can tolerate a big belly, but it will definitely tolerate some of my disrespect."
"The master is not conservative. He just explained the Dharma, but he didn't seem to be as free and easy as he is now." He just said, "Master, you can follow your script."
Miaose said: "They don't understand my Buddhist principles to the young monks. Moreover, seeking Buddha depends on the mind, chanting sutras, etc. If you say it is useful, it is useful, and if it is useless, it is useless. If you want to listen to different Buddhist teachings, I can tell you. If the young monk doesn't understand, you Taoist priest can understand."
Ji Liao heard the wonderful sounds that were beyond his character, so he wanted to give him good things.
He bowed slightly and said, "Master is so loving. I haven't been able to repay you well if you saved me before."
Miaose smiled and said, "You are afraid that you are also puzzled by what a monk, I am in charge of your Taoist sect's idle business. In fact, I am not for you, but for the Beiluo Master."
"So it's a cat." Ji Liao said in his mind, and now he found the reason why Miaose saved him.
"The Beiluo Master Sect has kindness to me." Miaose continued.
He thought to himself that Maoer's temper is not as good as a world-wide person, so why would he still give favors to the beautiful person?
"Master Miaose, like me, learned some method from Maoer." Ji Liao said to himself.
Ji Liao said: "Let me explain it to the master first. Although I have a good relationship with Master Beiluo, I am not very close. If you want to repay the kindness, it is best to repay it directly."
Miaose smiled and said, "What does Beiluo Master want? It will take it by itself, and there is no need for me to do my best. How can I repay this? And since I am willing to help you, I will naturally not regret it. Don't worry."
Ji Liao said: "I am really a little guilty."
Miaose smiled and said, "It's good that I feel ashamed. I may have somewhere to ask you in the future."
Ji Liao said seriously: "If this day really happens, I will do my best to help you."
Miaose said with all his strength: "Then thank you in advance."
He looked at Ji Liao again and said, "Fellow Taoist, although your spirit has declined, your realm seems to have improved. When I saved you that day, I felt that you were seriously injured. I am afraid that there is not much hope to wake up. I don't know how my friend woke up?"
Ji Liao thought that after all, Miaose saved his life and was also a master. Talking about his situation, he might be able to give himself some tips.
He then briefly explained his situation, mainly talking about the changes in the acupoints.
After hearing this, Miaose said, "There is a spiritual point, which is the first time I have heard of it. But do fellow Taoists know an allusion?"
Ji Liao said: "Master, please tell me."
Miaose said: "The Buddha said that a grain of sand contains three thousand great worlds, and said that a bowl of water contains forty-eight thousand insects. If we use this, do we also hide countless worlds, and do we ourselves have countless small insects? Fellow Taoist Mu Zhenzi, your acupoint has a spirit, isn't this also confirmed?"
Ji Liao pondered and said that Miaose had been verified in his life as a top student. From a microscopic perspective, a grain of sand also had a complex structure like the universe, and a bowl of water indeed contained countless subtle lives. The human body itself nourished countless subtle creatures.
His acupoints are spiritual, and there is actually no difference between them and those little lives that live in him.
For example, the existence of small lives in the stomach and intestines can help the human body digest, but the spirit in the acupoints helps him refine the starlight, but the functions are different.
What is rare is that the wisdom in the Buddhist scriptures is similar to the so-called science in that world, which makes Ji Liao sigh secretly.
Seeing Ji Liao thinking, Miaose smiled slightly and said, "It seems that fellow Taoist is very clear about this principle."
Ji Liao nodded and said, "The master said it is very profound, and I will benefit a lot."
Miaose said: "In this way, fellow Taoists can indeed easily collect starlight and practice, which is really a gratifying thing."
Ji Liao smiled and said, "It can only be said that it was a blessing in disguise, or it was thanks to the master's rescue that we have today."
Miaose continued, "But according to your words, your body is very weak now."
Ji Liao nodded. He drank two pots of soup from Chen Xiaohan yesterday, but ended up having diarrhea in the middle of the night. This was the first time he had encountered such an embarrassing thing since he had achieved success in his practice.
The reason why he came to Nalanda Temple without telling his daughters and the others was also considered in this regard. After all, they were all sensitive and could not tell what smell they could smell from him, and they would be embarrassed by that time.
Miaose took out a secret book from his cassock and said, "I have a Mahayana Sutra of Thunder and Sound, which may help you."
Ji Liao took the secret book, glanced at it, and smiled bitterly. This was clearly the practice of the tiger, leopard, thunder sound.
Ji Liao said: "Master's Thunder Spirit Mahayana Sutra was not realized from Master Beiluo's Sect."
Miaose nodded and said, "I traveled around the world when I was young. When I met an opponent, I fought with him, but I was seriously injured. The Beiluo Master Sect appeared beside me, so I realized the thunder sound from it, and therefore I practiced into the Vajra Indestructible body. I believe that it will be helpful to you by practicing according to the thunder sound Mahayana sutra."
Ji Liao returned the Mahayana Sutra of Lei Yin and said, "I have learned this Lei Yin."
Then his body made a slight "um" sound, which was the thunder sound of the tiger and leopard.
