Chapter 832 The attitude of life

After passing this reservoir and walking upwards for more than 80 kilometers, we arrived at the capital city of Oskmen, Kazakhstan Prefecture, East Kazakhstan.

The old name of the Osk Gate was Ustikamenogorsk. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the city changed its name like many cities in the former Soviet Union.

This city emerged in the former Soviet Union because of the construction of the Ustic Kamenogorsk Hydropower Station. It was originally an important hub station for the Almaty to Barnaul Railway. The construction of the hydropower station led to the vigorous development of the metallurgy industry and became the most important lead-zinc smelting center in the former Soviet Union.

This city is similar to the Bapurodar that we passed by before. It was built in the 1950s and 1960s. It can be seen everywhere in the east of the city. The thick smoke from the lined chimneys can be called a cover of the sky and the sun, making a good city turbid.

To be honest, Yang Jing was not in the mood to stay in such a severe pollution city, so before it got dark, Old Ivan drove the yacht to the current.

Less than fifteen kilometers from the center of Oskmen, is the Ustikamenogorsk Hydropower Station. The former Soviet government built a 426-meter-long river dam here, which bound the rolling water of the Ertzis River. With the help of the mountains on both sides of the river, a reservoir with an average view of about 500 meters but a length of 70 kilometers was formed.

There is a Bukhtamar Reservoir dam between this reservoir and the upstream Bukhtamar Reservoir.

The Ertzis River officially entered the mountainous area after passing through the single-stage lock of the Ustikamenogorsk Reservoir Barrier Dam.

Before the sun set completely, Siberia Endeavour finally passed the single-stage lock of the Ustikamenogorsk Hydropower Station and entered the reservoir area with gentle water flow.

The voyage from this reservoir to the estuary of the upper reaches of Zhaisangbo is all in the reservoir!

Because of the interception effect of a river dam, the river water in the reservoir can hardly feel the flow. The entire reservoir is like a long and narrow mirror, echoing the afterglow of the sunset in the west sky, making people unable to tell where the sky is and where the water is.

Taking advantage of the fact that the sky was still light, the Siberian Endeavor, which had just passed the lock, drove forward for hundreds of meters and then stopped on the right bank of the reservoir.

This place seems to be a small village developed based on reservoirs and hydropower stations, which is similar to those luxurious villa areas on the left bank of the reservoir. At the edge of the reservoir, there are several piers, and several yachts docked next to the pier.

Although these yachts are not as luxurious as the Siberian Endeavor, they are also large yachts about 60 feet. It can be seen that the rich people nearby still like to raft on the river.

Old Ivan steadily docked the yacht next to the largest pier. When Yang Jing and the others got off the boat, there was already a middle-aged man with a big belly waiting on the pier.

Seeing Yang Jing and the others walking out of the cabin, the man was stunned for a moment, and then saw Lao Ivan who was following him off the boat. He then warmly greeted him.

The two hugged each other enthusiastically, and it was obvious that Old Ivan was very familiar with this fat man.

"Come on, Nikola, let me introduce you to Mr. Yang from China. This is his bodyguard. Mr. Yang is a distinguished guest invited by Mr. Alekperov. You must entertain you later. Mr. Yang, this is Nikola Berglovsky, the manager of Ustikamenogorsk Reservoir Resort. He has been running this resort for more than 20 years. His resort can be regarded as the best resort in Ustikamenogorsk Reservoir and Bukhtamar Reservoir."

Yang Jing shook hands with the fatty manager, exchanged greetings, and entered the resort under the guidance of the fatty manager.

Just now, I thought this was a vacation villa area built by some wealthy people, but I didn’t expect that all the buildings here belonged to the fat man in front of me. This building is all the facilities of the resort.

"Mr. Yang, Nikola is also from Baku. He used to be a chef and was good at making fish. He once opened a restaurant in Baku, which is also a well-known restaurant in the area. However, later his wife passed away due to cancer. He was sad and took his family to his wife's hometown, Ustikamenogorsk, and opened such a resort here. His wife was buried on the hillside behind the resort."

After hearing this, Yang Jing couldn't help but look at the fat man who was smiling and hosting guests. Unexpectedly, this fat man was still a kind of love.

"Nicholas met Mr. Alecperov when he was in Baku. At that time, Mr. Alecperov would often go to his restaurants to eat. This guy has a unique skill in making fish. Although he used to make saltwater fish, it was still great to make freshwater fish after coming here. It is precisely because of his craft that his resort is getting more and more prosperous. Many people from the upstream and downstream of the Ertise River come to him here to eat fish. As long as Mr. Alecperov passes by here by boat, he will definitely enjoy the fish made by Nikola here. The taste is very delicious."

Yang Jing smiled and said, "Let Nicholas show off his skills in the future. All the dishes he has with him come up and we can enjoy them."

The supper was indeed sumptuous. Nikolai knew that the young Chinese man who came here with Old Ivan in the evening was a guest that Mr. Alec Perov valued very much, so he did it himself, so he didn't cook in person. The dinner was naturally sumptuous.

After eating and drinking, Yang Jing patted his belly and smiled at Old Ivan with some difficulty: "Victor, I found that my weight may have increased by several kilograms in the past few days after I came out with you. Why do you have friends who make delicious food everywhere?"

Old Ivan smiled and put down the cigar in his hand, "Actually, I have only two hobbies in my life, one is sailing and the other is food. Mr. Alecperov also loves food, so he has followed Mr. Alecperov to travel west over the years. Whenever he goes to a place, he doesn't remember everything else. I, Old Ivan, remember all the food in this place. Then when I go there later, I will definitely go there to taste various foods. Over time, even Mr. Alecperov will ask me what food there is here every time he goes to."

The old man was extremely proud of what he said. It can be seen that he felt no regrets about having such a life in the past few years.

To be honest, Yang Jing was a little envious when he heard this. What kind of life is good? What kind of life is called comfort?

It’s very simple. It’s not that you eat with big fish and meat all day long. Sleeping like a big bedroom in the palace is called a good life and a comfortable life. In fact, like Lao Ivan, you usually do what you like and eat the food you like for every meal. This is actually a very enviable comfortable life.

Although people like Lao Yiwan are not rich, they really make money serve themselves, rather than becoming slaves to money. Such a lifestyle and attitude towards life are what Yang Jing yearns for.

At night, the group lived in the resort. It was not really comfortable to just float on the boat. Although the Siberian Endeavour is a superyacht, it is still a big deal to stay at a real superyacht that is hundreds of meters away and has a displacement of over 10,000 tons. It would be fine if you stayed on a superyacht that was similar to a sea palace for a few more days, but where is the displacement of the Siberian Endeavour? Even in the river, you can feel shaking.

Over time, it will inevitably be uncomfortable.

Yang Jing slept very comfortably. After having breakfast early the next morning, the group said goodbye to Nikola and continued to sail the boat.

Because it is sailing in a wide reservoir, the speed of Siberia Endeavor can be increased to twenty knots, which is a speed of nearly forty kilometers per hour.

It is said that this reservoir made Ustikamenogorsk flourish, but in fact, this reservoir feeds far more than the city of Ustikamenogorsk. Along the way, Yang Jing saw many small villages and towns and small vacation villas along the edge of the reservoir. The beautiful mountains and rivers are indeed the most nourishing place.

The peaks on both sides of the reservoir also began to gradually grow taller, and mountains of four or five hundred meters can be seen everywhere. However, it was precisely because the peaks on both sides of the reservoir that the vision was greatly affected. Yang Jing could only stand on the deck and use the Sky Eye skill to scan the surroundings for a while.

As a result, until the 70-kilometer reservoir was completed, Yang Jing did not find anything possible.

However, Yang Jing was not upset. After all, the 1,100 tons of gold from the last Tsar were hidden in the upper reaches of the Ertzis River. This was only inferred by Yang Jing based on many clues and information. He did not have a very accurate clue to determine that the batch of gold was hidden in this area.

So this time I took a boat upstream and had to visit more than treasure hunting. Of course, it is best to find gold, but if I can't find it, I just think it's a beautiful view of the upper reaches of the Ertzis River.

Yang Jing and the others set off from the resort at around 7 o'clock in the morning. After two hours of sailing, a nearly 400-meter-long river dam ahead appeared in front of them. On the east side of the river dam, there is a long four-level ship lock, and several ships of different sizes are waiting to pass this lock to enter the Bukhtamar Reservoir upstream.
