Zhaisangbo, also called Zhaisang Lake, is located in the upper reaches of the Ertzis River and is a typical freshwater throughput lake.

The Ertzis River, which originated from the border between China and Mongolia, flowed more than 500 kilometers in the Xinjiang province of China, finally broke through the mountain blockade between Altai Mountains and Tarbahatai Mountain in northern Xinjiang, and roared all the way into the Jaisan Basin, and formed a lake about 110 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide in this basin.

This lake is Zhaisangbo.

Before 1959, the area of ​​Zhaisangbo was only about 1,800 square kilometers, with an average depth of about 5 meters. After the clear water of the Ertzis River rushed out of the mountains, it settled down here, making Zhaisangbo a well-known and fertile land.

This area with abundant water and grass has been a territory of China for thousands of years. However, in October 1864, China and Russia signed the "China-Russia Discussion on the Northwest Boundary". Russia used diplomatic fraud to misinterpret the relevant content of the "China-Russia Beijing Treaty" and threatened with force, and eventually cut off 440,000 square kilometers of land east of Lake Balkash and north-south of Zhaisangbo.

From then on, this beautiful land became the territory of Mao Wang.

After the October Revolution in Russia, the red giant stood up and prepared to build reservoirs and hydropower stations in the upper reaches of the Ertzis River, so as to utilize the abundant hydraulic resources in the upper reaches of the Ertzis River.

The construction of this project began in 1953, and a river barrage dam began to be built about five kilometers upstream of the Ertzis River town of Serebryansk. This dam is a concrete gravity dam with a maximum height of 90 meters and a dam top of 380 meters. On the east side of the dam, there is a one-way four-stage lock.

The dam was completed in 1959. After completion, due to the existence of the river barrage dam, the more than 330 kilometers of river channel upstream of the dam, including Zhaisangbo, formed a new and huge reservoir - the Bukhtamar Reservoir.

The area of ​​Bukhtamar Reservoir reaches 5,490 square kilometers, making it the largest artificial reservoir in Kazakhstan and the fifth largest artificial reservoir in the world. Even in the former Soviet Union, this reservoir was the Gubishev Reservoir with an area of ​​6,450 square kilometers, second only to the middle reaches of the Volga River and the lower reaches of the Kama River, ranking second among all artificial reservoirs in the former Soviet Union.

After the completion of the Bukhtamar Reservoir, the average water depth of Jaisanbo increased from 5 meters to 12 meters, and the deepest area of ​​the entire Bukhtamar Reservoir was 80 meters deep. The total reservoir capacity of the entire reservoir was as high as 49.6 billion cubic meters, which was more than 10 billion cubic meters more than the reservoir capacity of the Huaxia Three Gorges Reservoir.

Although it is surrounded by mountains, the Bukhtamar Reservoir is much wider than the just-passed Ustikamenogorsk Reservoir. After driving out of the canyon where the reservoir is located, there is a large area of ​​water with a width of more than ten kilometers in front of it. This water area is only a small part of the entire reservoir, but it can install the entire Tianqu city!

After all, this is the upper reaches of the Ertzis River. The clear snow-capped water gathered here without any pollution, so the water here is naturally very clear.

This wide water area is located in the area where the Ertzis River meets the Berezovka River, so after the reservoir is formed, the width of this water area becomes particularly wide. As for the entire Bukhtamar Reservoir, the width of this water area is second only to that of Zaisangpo.

The length of this water area is more than 30 kilometers. After passing through this water area, you will enter the relatively narrow reservoir water area again, and the mountains on both sides will become more and more.

More than an hour later, when the Siberian Endeavor was sailing through this wide area of ​​water and was about to enter the relatively narrow area, Yang Jing accidentally glanced with the Sky Eye skill and suddenly felt something was wrong.

When entering the narrow waters from this wide area, there was a mountain with an altitude of more than 800 meters on both sides of the reservoir, guarding here like two door gods. This is actually a remnant of Mount Altai. The altitude of the peaks generally exceeds 600 meters, and these two mountains are 200 meters higher than other peaks, so it seems extremely eye-catching.
