According to yogis, the self, that is, man, is controlled and dominated by the three states of nature. If a person is under the influence of ignorance, he will want to obtain a certain type of sensory enjoyment. For example, if a person is under the influence of ignorance, he may want to sleep or be anesthetized; if a person is under the influence of ignorance, he may have to have sexual pleasure; if a person is under the influence of kinship, he may have to enjoy a peaceful and peaceful day in the park or in the countryside. Therefore, all these situations are determined by which influence of ignorance in nature dominates his state.
According to the yogi, as long as a person is still dominated by the three states of material nature, namely ignorance, passion and kindness, he is not free, which means that he has not yet been freed from the bonds of material desires. To be free from material desires, he must transcend the influence of these three states of nature. Everyone is blinded by ignorance, passion and kindness. However, at any given moment, one of these three always occupies a major position.
Ignorance is the worst state, and the result of this state is madness, hallucination, laziness, etc.
The passionate state is better than the ignorant state, but it means major persistence, uncontrollable desires, pursuits and tense efforts and other characteristics.
The state of kindness is purer and shining than other states. People in this state cultivate and develop wisdom, but they are restricted by the concept of happiness.
A person in a good state is only interested in his own happiness. In other words, although his desires are purer and more subtle than those in a foolish or passionate state, he is still centered on his own. When a foolish or passionate state begins to affect his body and mind, thus depriving him of the happiness he has obtained from a good state, such a person will feel very sad and frustrated. He has not yet transcended the influence of all three - for the natural activities of these three influences, he cannot maintain his status as an unaffected, transcendent witness. He has not yet reached the height of loving service to the whole - he therefore has not truly been liberated. Only when this creature confined in the flesh can transcend these three states can he be free from the pain of birth, death, aging and these three, and can enjoy nectar in this life.
Only those who are not interested in their own happiness can truly be happy. This view, in the eyes of ignorant people, seems strange and confusing. However, for wise people, it is logical and easy to understand.
Obtaining liberation from the three states of material nature is a gradual process. For example, if a person who was originally mainly in a state of ignorance and ignorance engages in yoga practice and adopts a yoga lifestyle, he will gradually become more and more in a state of passion and still be in a state of kindness. Then, as he continues to practice, he will gradually become, more and more in a state of kindness, less in a state of passion, or even less in a state of ignorance. Then, he will gradually transcend the influence of a state of kindness. Such a state is called a purified state of kindness, or a transcendent state, or enter into meditation.
Therefore, the most urgent task for all practitioners is to try to free themselves from the influence of ignorance and passion. The way to achieve this is to increasingly turn to the influence of a good state. Over time, the meditator will gradually surpass the influence of a good state.
If a person wants to surpass all three states, he must first basically stick to the state of kindness, rather than relying on the state of ignorance or passion. The reason is that the state of kindness is the starting point for getting rid of these three states. After obtaining liberation, no matter which of ignorance, passion or kindness becomes active, people are always unmoved.
Therefore, the purpose of all meditation practices is to free people from the rule of these three states of material nature - starting from the state of liberation from ignorance and passion, and finally, even the state of kindness is liberated.
Pang Xiaonan took a deep breath and entered a state of meditation.
Most people will encounter some resistance when practicing meditation.
The techniques of entering tranquility before meditation, such as the breathing technique, the convergence method, the law of purity, and some cultivation and control techniques of the qi of life. So, do you have to practice these techniques together to obtain the best results when practicing yoga voice meditation?
In fact, you don’t need to practice any pre-meditation preparation techniques. You can reach the highest level of yoga meditation by practicing yoga voice meditation.
Like yoga postures, the method of closing, law and breathing (the cultivation and manipulation techniques of breathing and life qi) are both for yoga voice meditation. If you feel that any technique can help you directly or indirectly add your mind to yoga voice meditation, you might as well practice these techniques. But if you don’t need to rely on these techniques to be able to immerse yourself in yoga voice meditation, don’t spend precious time.
For example, someone practices yoga postures because it has health and body-strengthening effects and can release shallow tension and stress, so that he can easily reach a state of concentration when doing yoga voice meditation. That is to say, his yoga postures serve yoga voice meditation. Similarly, some people practice closure methods, legal and pranayama, or other techniques that can cultivate or manipulate the energy of life because they feel that these practices can directly or indirectly help yoga voice meditation practices.
Phonetic meditation does not require the assistance of techniques such as the cultivation and manipulation of the qi of life. On the contrary, these techniques require the assistance of yoga voice meditation to achieve true and profound spiritual value; otherwise, their value can only be limited to the physical and psychological levels.
If you are used to practicing pre-meditation preparation techniques, you can continue to practice these techniques with yoga voice meditation. But if you are not familiar with these techniques of entering into tranquility, based on the essence of meditation and the primary and secondary relationship between breathing and regulating and entering into tranquility, you do not need to spend valuable time on this (but if you have specific diseases or discomforts, learning these pre-meditation preparation techniques may gain certain benefits).
The ultimate goal of meditation is not to make the mind empty or reach the state of "no self", but to let the mind sense spiritual transcendental voice, thereby achieving the effect of purifying consciousness.
Generally speaking, it is almost futile to make the thoughts "empty and quiet" and this attempt will only bring frustration. Even at the moment when the state of "no thoughts" appears, you will think: "Ah, I have almost done it! I have almost no thoughts!" But when you think about it this way, aren't there new thoughts entering the mind?! You are thinking "that you think nothing". According to yoga science, the state of "no self" is also impossible to achieve. According to yoga, Nirvana does not mean to terminate existence, but to end ignorance and pain. True perfect Nirvana is to realize the existence full of spiritual love, inner wisdom and goals. Nothing is more real to us than our own existence; and nothing is more natural than being able to realize our own existence.
Therefore, it is difficult to think that the purpose of yoga meditation is to make us unaware of our own existence or terminate our existence. This is essentially difficult, but in fact it is impossible. Any attempt to destroy our existence is actually just a hopeless struggle and waste time, and it cannot solve the pain at all. The solution to the pain is not to try to terminate or forget the existence of our own, but to make our existence more meaningful, full of spiritual love and wisdom, and ultimately obtain a happy life.
If a person lacks spiritual love and wisdom, it is naturally difficult to recognize the purpose of existence and will always be in an unhappy state. However, through the practice of yoga meditation, we recognize the meaning of existence. Therefore, what we pursue is no longer ending or forgetting ourselves, but understanding that life has a longer-term goal and living happily.
But for Pang Xiaonan, these are not problems, because he is already quite proficient in meditation. Just like when sucking spiritual power, he can completely reach the state of selflessness.
After meditating for about half an hour, Pang Xiaonan naturally woke up. He controlled his eyes to rotate for several rounds, then took a deep breath for several reincarnations, sat quietly for a while, stretched his waist, and stood up with both hands on the ground.
